Artificial Intelligence (AI) is no longer just robots and self-driving cars. It’s also smart software that can understand, learn, predict, and perform tasks that usually require human intelligence. In content creation, AI is proving to be a game-changer. It can help business owners push out more content in less time. Let’s talk about eight types of content you can write with AI for your business.

Understanding AI in Content Creation
Before we delve into the types of content you can create using AI, let’s understand how AI is transforming the content creation landscape. AI writing tools leverage machine learning and natural language processing to generate human-like text. These tools are trained on vast amounts of data, learning patterns, and language structures. They then use this knowledge to generate new content that’s coherent and contextually relevant. It’s like having a virtual assistant who can write on your behalf!
You may have heard of AI tools like ChatGPT and Bard, among others. The best way to leverage these tools for content creation is to understand prompt engineering to get the right output. However, some tools use AI and will prompt for you, which helps ease the transition to using AI for your content.
The Perks of Using AI for Content
AI can be a powerful ally for writers, with many benefits to enhance productivity and creativity. For instance, AI can help you generate ideas, draft content quickly, and edit your work. It can also help you personalize content for different audiences, making your writing more engaging and effective. Keep in mind, though, that there are drawbacks to using AI for all of your content creation; to avoid these drawbacks, include your input and personality into whatever AI generates for you.
8 Types of Content You Can Write Using AI
Whether it’s a how-to guide, a listicle, or an opinion piece, AI can help you draft engaging and informative blog posts that resonate with your audience. AI can also help you create SEO-friendly content, optimizing your articles to rank higher in search engine results.
Make sure you know what information you want to cover in your article, as well as the tone, audience, and existing articles you’ll link to.
Pro Tip: Keep your readers in mind. AI may not give an output with totally accurate information, so make sure to double-check! We recommend using AI for inspiration and as a starting point rather than using it to write the whole article. This will give you more control over the content while still saving time (we used it on this blog post!).
You don’t have to use the output you receive. For example, in this article, ChatGPT originally spit out ten types of content. We removed four types we didn’t think would resonate with our audience and added two types that we thought would resonate. Use your knowledge and expertise so the content makes more sense to your audience. We also edited one type to make it more concise. The goal is to continue publishing quality content AND save time!
AI can generate unique, detailed, and persuasive descriptions that highlight a product’s key features and benefits, making it easier for businesses to showcase their offerings. You’ll only need to list the information you want included in the description and the tone in which you want it written. This is especially helpful when you have a lot of products!
Pro Tip: You don’t need to reinvent the wheel for each product description. For example, ask AI for a description and then use it as a template by asking AI to rewrite it for each product. Copy and paste the descriptions into your eCommerce store, and you’re good to go!
This also works if your “products” are services you provide as a coach. For example, you might have live consultation calls, 1:1 services, or courses. Ask AI to write your descriptions for these services by listing how you help your customers with their transformations.
Product Release Announcements
One type of content you can use AI to write articles for product release announcements and updates. Just grab the update information from your product team and use AI to rewrite it using jargon your audience understands and can easily follow. This will help them adapt to the changes and new products seamlessly.
Pro Tip: Keep in mind the type of release you’re writing. Is it a step-by-step how-to article? Or are you announcing product changes? This is important in crafting your prompt. How about if you’re writing both? Ask AI to write the step-by-step instructions and take that copy to ask AI to write a summary of how your customers can use the new release.
Social Media Posts
AI can help you craft social media content that sparks conversations and builds engagement. We recommend going further and asking AI to take a social media caption and rewrite it in different variations for each platform or for multiple posts on the same topic.
Pro Tip: Social media platforms—like Youtube, Instagram, and TikTok—now incorporate their own SEO practices. The words you use in your captions are important! Think about the words you’re searching for and ask AI to include those trigger words.
Your email list is the most important asset for your marketing efforts because it consists of hot leads who have already shown interest in your offerings. AI can help you craft compelling email campaigns, personalizing content to resonate with each recipient.
Pro Tip: Ask AI to include the next steps you want your email list to take, using compelling language so they click, sign up, and engage! Remember that you OWN your email list—you want your copy to be personalized and resemble you. Before sending AI-written emails to your list, first sort them in a document and make necessary edits. Then, you’ll see how they flow together and the journey your audience is taking. An alternative to asking AI to write copy would be to ask it for help organizing the email sequence you want to write based on the end goal.
Sales Page Copy
At the end of the day, we all want our audience to make a purchase. AI can help you create persuasive marketing copy, tailored to appeal to your target audience. Every section of text is important on a sales page. You want visitors to stay on the page long enough to click and eventually purchase (or at least keep you top of mind for the future!). But the main questions are, “What do I say?” and “Where do I say it?”
Give AI your offerings and what you want your audience to experience when they purchase from you. Then, ask AI to write copy that entices visitors to engage by clicking “Buy now.”
Pro Tip: AI can’t help with where to place the copy, but it can help you write it! Have an idea of what you want the copy to say at different points on your sales page so you can instruct the AI to give you an output that resonates with you and your business.
Scripts for Videos or Podcasts
Video and podcasts are the next big things for how we consume content. AI can help you write scripts for your videos or podcasts, ensuring a smooth flow of ideas and conversation. We recommend typing out everything you want to say and the main topic of the video or podcast before asking AI to write a script.
Pro Tip: Incorporate your own knowledge and information before recording. AI may include inaccuracies—and besides, you are the expert!
We recommend keeping scripts simple. For example, in the screenshot above, we prompted ChatGPT to include three main points. Three points will be easy for your audience to follow and also easy for you to record. Have you already recorded a podcast about one of your main points? Then simply ask AI to regenerate a new point!
At Interact, we’re experts at writing quizzes to generate leads and engage your audience—and we LOVE using AI to help our customers create quizzes.
But for those interested in using AI themselves to create a quiz, we’ve got you covered! It’s helpful to know your quiz topic and result outcomes when using AI for your quiz, but you can also ask AI for inspiration. All you really need to know is what your business is about, your ideal customer, and your offerings or products.
Pro Tip: Remember the Interact motto: done is better than perfect. It’s easy to continue iterating copy for your quiz, but the best way to improve your stats is to get your quiz out to your audience. Keep your quiz simple so you can launch it and allow customer behavior to tell you what to tweak as you learn more about them.
You can ask AI what questions to include in your quiz, but don’t forget the questions you ask your clients and customers day-to-day. You probably already know what to ask in your quiz based on your conversations with your customers!
The Future of AI in Writing
While AI is already significantly impacting content creation, its potential is far from fully realized. As AI technology continues to evolve, we can expect even more sophisticated and creative applications in writing.
By using AI to write the eight types of content in our list, you’ll be ahead of the curve in saving time and pushing content faster. In the least, use AI to inspire new content so you can focus on what you do best: helping your customers.
So, are you ready to embrace the future of writing with AI?
