This is a great sign!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hold onto that inspiration for the next section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-create-personality-results-for-your-quiz\">Create personality results for your quiz<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Your quiz title and topic might be responsible for your quiz\u2019s first impression, but your personality results will be the thing that creates a lasting impression. They must be written in a way that enhances your audience\u2019s self-discovery process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>People love to read more about themselves, especially when it is positive and focuses on their strengths. (Hello, look at the popularity of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gallupstrengthscenter.com\/home\/en-us\/strengthsfinder\">StrengthsFinder<\/a>!) The more you can help them learn about how they\u2019re wired, the more they will trust what you have to say.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you think about what quiz results you want to use, think about how you might want to segment your audience based on your ideal customer personas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can group quiz takers in any one of these core categories:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Interest in a specific topic<\/li><li>Skill level (beginner, intermediate, advanced)<\/li><li>Type of industry they\u2019re in<\/li><li>Common personality traits<\/li><li>Ways that they approach your topic<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>IMPORTANT<\/strong>: Try to write three to five personality results for your quiz. Any more and it could feel overwhelming for you and your audience. Any less and it might make your audience feel like they are all the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What happens if you choose too many personality results? Even though <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tryinteract.com\/blog\/sell-online-courses-how-kaye-putnam-generated-100k-revenue-from-her-quiz\/\">Kaye Putnam\u2019s quiz has been very successful<\/a>, she now regrets choosing 12 archetype results for her quiz. You may think that is short, but you have plenty of time to give your audience more information through your <a data-wpil=\"url\" href=\"https:\/\/help.tryinteract.com\/en\/articles\/1002333-part-4-follow-up-emails\/\">follow-up email sequence<\/a> (which we will talk about much later in this article so hang tight!).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By keeping your personality descriptions to a short paragraph, you\u2019ll be able to give your audience a quick taste of what their quiz result says about them before they go to their inbox for more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We love how Alex and Lauren of <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/createandgo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Create and Go<\/a> created a quiz to help their audience of hopeful bloggers determine <a href=\"https:\/\/createandgo.co\/blog-niche-quiz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">what kind of blog they should start<\/a>. This email opt-in copy is incredibly important because it is often the difference between a quiz taker becoming an email subscribers or not.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To turn a quiz taker into a loyal subscriber, you must:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Let them know what to expect when they sign up for your list<\/li><li>Share that they are just one step away from getting their quiz results<\/li><li>Sweeten the deal by sharing something valuable with them<\/li><li>Promise to send follow-up emails after they get their quiz results<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This is what Gina of The Fitnessista did with <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessista.com\/fitnessquiz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">her fitness personality quiz<\/a>. She tells quiz takers that she will not only give them their quiz results but also send her personalized recommendations for at-home workouts if they sign up for her email list.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh5.googleusercontent.com\/0yQoCZGzTW9ZvjJDXvqtj3o76ft1l10PTBYr4v9Wlz7yrF6yLD4MFW91hwsZfTlvHb1uKxXbo5E9vdkML-mF7OrP_YyrYo-hKRNY_jTn1VprOZ7oHuRlKltgLlbRD0NkjTz7iqic\" alt=\"subscribe form for quiz results\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Another thing you might notice about her email opt-in form is that there is a faded gray button below her main CTA button that says \u201cSkip this step.\u201d You may be wondering why someone would want to include that on this form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Again, this goes back to your goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do you want to build a bigger email list and let people unsubscribe later? Then you can skip this button. If you\u2019d rather build an email list of quality leads who really want to hear from you, then you can include the skip button for people who just want their results. it shows up as a Trigger. This means that whenever someone takes the quiz and gets that specific quiz result, it will automatically tell Interact and your email marketing system that a specific thing needs to happen. Luckily, you won\u2019t have to personally email each of them as they sign up. That would create WAY too much work for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Instead, you can use your ESP to automate the email delivery process by creating an email sequence. This refers to a series of emails that <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.hubspot.com\/service\/customer-journey-map\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">bring new subscribers through the buyer\u2019s journey<\/a>. When we talk about creating a quiz-related email sequence, it\u2019s even simpler than most <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/automizy.com\/blog\/email-marketing-funnels\/\" target=\"_blank\">email sales funnels<\/a> and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.meerakothand.com\/how-to-write-a-welcome-email-series\/\" target=\"_blank\">welcome email sequences<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You don\u2019t need anything fancy or elaborate. If you\u2019re not sure how to do this, look into your ESP\u2019s help section of their website for more information. They\u2019ll have guides and resources available to you as well as a customer service team of people who can help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once all three (or four) of your emails are inside the backend of your ESP, it\u2019s time to go back to the Trigger and Action window we talked about in the previous section and make sure each result that has a Trigger also has a custom Action that is related to the connected email.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you\u2019re done, you can click the blue \u201cSave\u201d button at the bottom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Okay, the technical part is <em>almost <\/em>done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All you have left to do is make sure the email addresses you\u2019re collecting inside Interact corresponds with the right label in your ESP.
