Since the quiz builds quiz-takers\u2019 self-awareness, it allows us to start the conversation from a place of understanding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I see quizzes as an energy exchange. Based on my dashboard, it looks like 43% of people who take the quiz are struggling with money mindset issues, while 34% lack confidence and 23% experience time scarcity.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"249\" height=\"263\" src=\"https:\/\/tryinteract-blog.s3-us-west-1.amazonaws.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/quiz-results.png\" alt=\"quiz results\" class=\"wp-image-12135\"\/><figcaption>Quiz Results<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Knowing this, I can tailor content to each type. The data tells me that I should spend more time talking about money mindsets, since it\u2019s a popular mindset block. That\u2019s why I talk more about money and selling on my podcast, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.katecrocco.com\/podcastblog\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Thinking Like a Boss<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td><em>Takeaway: Keep an eye on your <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/help.tryinteract.com\/en\/articles\/1765123-quiz-analytics\"><em>quiz analytics<\/em><\/a><em> and use the data to <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/neilpatel.com\/blog\/content-creation-how-to-create-better-content-for-your-customers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>create better content for your audience<\/em><\/a><em>. If your quiz result type data isn\u2019t as useful, look at how quiz-takers have answered a specific question.<\/em><br><em>For example, if you are a business coach, <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tryinteract.com\/blog\/50-quiz-questions-you-should-be-using\/\"><em>include a quiz question<\/em><\/a><em> that helps you decipher whether you\u2019re attracting aspiring business owners or seasoned entrepreneurs. These insights are helpful when you\u2019re creating content for your website, social media, email marketing, and more.<\/em><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-kind-of-results-did-you-receive-after-launching-your-quiz\">What kind of results did you receive after launching your quiz?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I originally created my quiz to sell more pre-orders for my book, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.katecrocco.com\/book\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Thinking Like a Boss<\/em><\/a>, but it also helps me qualify client leads for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.katecrocco.com\/mindsetmastermind\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">my high-ticket mastermind<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In less than two months, I received a message from a woman who took my quiz, ordered my book, read through it, and then decided she wanted to join my mastermind. Her investment in the mastermind more than paid for the quiz!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I outsourced the quiz to my team, so I invested about $1,200 in everything from the quiz content writing to the email marketing funnel. Since my six-month mastermind is priced at $4,500, that\u2019s almost a <strong>400% ROI<\/strong>! Nicknamed the \u201cRule of 7,\u201d Kate puts this principle into action by discussing her offers in multiple places, including her quiz, podcast, book, emails, blog articles, and more. This widens her opportunity for converting leads because they\u2019re more likely to remember what she offers.<\/em><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-did-you-build-such-a-successful-quiz-marketing-funnel\">How did you build such a successful quiz marketing funnel?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I began by adding a few questions to the quiz that don\u2019t correlate with the three result types. Instead, I looked at how people answered these questions to put them in the right funnel. Someone new to business receives a different set of <a href=\"https:\/\/help.tryinteract.com\/en\/articles\/1002333-part-4-follow-up-emails\">follow-up emails<\/a> than someone already making money in their business.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My quiz helps to segment these two main audiences, so I can automatically send them the right email content. In the funnel, I first pitch the book to both new and long-time business owners. Then, the people who are newer to business receive emails with an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.katecrocco.com\/courses\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">online course pitch<\/a>. My publisher was interested in the idea but hadn\u2019t ever heard of it before. In the publishing world, pre-orders are essential, so I wanted to do whatever I could to increase them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was easy to get started with the quiz because I repurposed ideas from my book. I also knew it would be important to give a free preview of my book. Giving quiz-takers access to my first two chapters helps them decide if the book is the right fit for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh4.googleusercontent.com\/oX7uARBQ9YwUNWWtST-Jj2rEol9aMWAGTRlRy0IlHxmbirSes5hM_7H96juozgGxbjY7fyCIR4MwIN5wHaFC-dR4Auld7hEqjVBZgrrxMf_w6_0_z5r4DslhWWuyPdgfxxs-Hkqe=s0\" alt=\"Thinking Like a Boss Cover Page\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Now that my book is published, I\u2019m not collecting pre-orders, but I\u2019m still able to sell my book. The book helps me make a deeper connection with my audience without it taking more of my time. It doesn\u2019t cost me anything to sell more books and only helps me get more visibility, so it\u2019s been the right choice for me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td><em>Takeaway: Since Kate\u2019s book is around $22 and is frequently on sale, it\u2019s much easier to pitch at the start than her course or mastermind. Offering lower-priced products through your quiz follow-up emails is a great way to <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tryinteract.com\/blog\/quiz-based-growth-strategies\/\"><em>convert more leads<\/em><\/a><em>. You could sell templates, workbooks, planners, art prints, assorted e-commerce products, and more!<\/em><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-you-re-thinking-about-using-a-quiz-for-a-second-book-you-re-writing-what-will-you-do-differently\">You\u2019re thinking about using a quiz for a second book you\u2019re writing. What will you do differently?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>My next book, <a href=\"https:\/\/bakerpublishinggroup.com\/books\/drawing-the-line\/398550\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Drawing the Line: How to Achieve More Peace and Less Burnout in Your Life<\/em><\/a>, will be published in March 2022. It\u2019s about helping all women set boundaries so they can create more alignment in their lives. It\u2019s geared toward business owners, stay-at-home moms, college students, and corporate professionals. It\u2019s less focused on my business audience and includes more of my faith journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019m thinking the second quiz topic will help women identify what\u2019s causing misalignment in their lives or something similar. I have some time to figure it out. I\u2019m in the weeds of motherhood right now, so it\u2019s important for me to find opt-ins that run without the extra manual work. I might even do ads in the future!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td><em>Takeaway: Did you know you don\u2019t have to stop at one quiz? Like Kate, you can use what you\u2019ve learned from your first quiz to create another quiz. Just make sure there\u2019s enough of a difference between your two quizzes. If there\u2019s not, just make small tweaks to your main quiz and relaunch it.&nbsp;<\/em><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-is-your-best-advice-for-other-quiz-creators\">What is your best advice for other quiz creators?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Don\u2019t create a quiz until you have the time and space to do it the right way. I recommend <a href=\"https:\/\/neilpatel.com\/blog\/quizzes-for-your-marketing-strategy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">creating a quiz strategy<\/a> first. Otherwise, you may not be happy with the results from the quiz. Make sure you\u2019re always thinking about the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tryinteract.com\/blog\/how-to-create-a-quiz-marketing-funnel\/\">quiz marketing funnel<\/a> behind the quiz so you can accomplish what you set out to do.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re anything like me, you might feel intimidated by the tech side of setting up a quiz. Interact makes it easy, but I still wanted to outsource most of the work to my team.
