What inspired you to create your quiz?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I had heard some of the biggest online educators\u2014in particular, Jenna Kutcher<\/a>\u2014talking about quizzes and how well they worked for their business. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I had it in the back of my mind that I was going to create a quiz for a long time, so I was just waiting for the right time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I also knew it would be really beneficial (and fun!) for our particular audience, so the website style quiz<\/a> was a perfect fit for Big Cat Creative<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How does your quiz topic relate to your business or main offer?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We create Squarespace website templates<\/a> for our audience so they can DIY their websites with Squarespace. They\u2019re different from regular plug-and-play templates as they offer full instructions to build your website from the ground up. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They also come with a ton of resources on how to use Squarespace and maintain your website. Although it\u2019s more of a website building course, it starts with good web design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019ve heard from many customers that choosing the right design is one of the hardest parts of the process! So, naturally, we created a quiz to help people figure out their design style and what templates would work well for them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

From there, we offer them more information about their particular website design style and share product recommendations<\/a> that will hopefully guide them in the right direction!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What kind of results have you seen from the quiz?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The quiz has been running for just over a year now, and we\u2019ve had over 4,000 people take it<\/strong>! That\u2019s pretty impressive, considering we\u2019ve used a really \u2018set-it-and-forget-it\u2019 approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The quiz doesn\u2019t get the promo it deserves, but it\u2019s still bringing in the most subscribers we\u2019ve ever seen in that amount of time compared to other lead magnets<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, we\u2019re launching a new website design that includes more areas that will emphasize the quiz, which should boost those numbers even more!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019ve also had a lot of great feedback on our quiz. After someone takes the quiz, we send a follow-up email<\/a> with their results and a discount code. Many people reply to this email saying how fun the quiz was or how accurate their results were! That\u2019s music to our ears. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m a huge GIF fan and use them in my business whenever I can! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When using relevant images or GIFs<\/a>, use ones that speak to your audience. Even by just considering your customers’ age range and gender, you can come up with great GIF ideas or other funny references that they\u2019ll understand and enjoy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

GIFs won\u2019t be a hit with everyone, but I think it\u2019s worth the risk!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What was your biggest challenge in creating a quiz?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Creating a quiz was actually quite daunting and something I had been putting off for a long time. I knew it was something I could do, but I also knew it required a lot of work. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Creating the actual quiz content, figuring out the tech, designing the quiz result landing pages<\/a>, and writing the follow-up email sequences\u2014there is quite a lot to it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I knew I could handle all that stuff, but it was a big challenge to find the time and commit to sitting down and planning it all out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I joined an Interact Quiz \u201ctraining\u201d group<\/a>, where we were guided through the process of building a quiz over a few weeks. Each week was dedicated to one part of the process, which made a HUGE difference to me. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There\u2019s NO way I would have done it without Interact\u2019s guidance and plan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since everything I needed to get my quiz up and running was already there\u2014including tips on building a quiz strategy and personal feedback on each step\u2014it made the process a lot easier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank you! Luckily for me, because of the Interact Quiz group training, I was guided through the strategy of creating these quiz result landing pages<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Essentially, my pages are based on the templated Interact results pages! When you create a quiz with Interact<\/a>, they give you tons of templates to choose from. All of these templates have built-in result pages and wording. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interact has your back with this part of the process since they\u2019ve already researched what works on these pages. I took the basic structure of their result page template and expanded on it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since I\u2019m a website designer, of course I had to design them on-brand for us and make them look pretty. But when it comes to content, strategy, and the order in which it\u2019s presented, it\u2019s basically a souped-up version of the Interact results page templates! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It can be a little daunting to sit down and create at first, but it\u2019s worth it. I recommend setting aside time to work on it and committing to it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are a lot of moving pieces, and it can take a while, so don\u2019t expect to whip it up in one afternoon (though, if you do, that\u2019s great!).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
