<\/figure>\n\n\n\nIn her link in bio, and occasionally directly from a post using DM automation, there is a version of a concierge quiz that is, of course, tailored and unique to her audience. The more consistent placement is within the link in bio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The way I would define a concierge quiz is that it doesn’t start off with a text box asking, “How can I help you?” It might say that, or it might say some version of that, but the way it is presented is not open-ended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n From all my observations over all the years, that is a key conversion rate optimization thing. Because if you leave it to the person to try to tell you what it is they want or why they clicked through, they usually don’t know how to articulate it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I think this is the really interesting thing about this, especially given the last few years, where a lot of formats have shifted to a chatbot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But in this case, where it is at the top of the funnel, what we have seen, and this is more like a human nature thing, so I don’t expect it to change, is that people don’t know what they want.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They know they are looking for something, but there needs to be something presented to them that matches what they want without them having to think about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n That’s where I think the framing of these quizzes becomes really important. Because you do have to figure out what it is that people want, even if they usually can’t articulate it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n From the successful examples I’ve seen, that comes from listening well. And listening well happens across multiple channels, like directly talking to customers, getting DMs, getting emails from people, and listening to what your customers say in the comments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I’m thinking specifically about another example, Erin McGoff from Advice With Erin. Her concierge quiz is a career type quiz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I got to interview her on our podcast, and she said that everything in that quiz was just a direct response to what her audience was always asking. People were constantly in the DMs, constantly asking, “What career should I be in?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n Her story really stuck with me because she described it as a question that represented a feeling. And I thought that was incredibly powerful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Because oftentimes, that’s really what is going on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n People don’t want practical advice all the time. They do. Obviously, they are seeking an answer. They are seeking a solution. But the motivation behind that is often a feeling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n That was just such a good way of explaining it. People want to know what career is right for them. But the reason they want to know what career is right for them is because they feel like something is off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n That, to me, kind of explains what sets apart an amazing concierge quiz, or just an amazing initial experience when somebody does want to learn more from you, from a subpar one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Does the quiz, the concierge experience that you offer people, speak to the feeling behind the question that people don’t even know they have?<\/p>\n\n\n\n Now, I know I have gone knee-deep into the weeds here, but I think if you’re tracking with this, then this type of solution could work really well for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Because this is just what I have seen over and over again from people who have created really successful quizzes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We have multiple quizzes now that have generated over one million leads. That means a million people have gone through and put in their email at the end, which, by the way, is the whole point of these concierge quizzes, and specifically with Interact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Somebody goes through your quiz because they want an answer to the question that is making them feel some type of way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Right before the results are shown, you can have a screen come up that says, “Do you want more help with this topic?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n Let’s say it’s the career one, and it says, “Do you want a more complete report of your career recommendations?” It’s optional. They can skip it if they don’t want to. But if they want it, they opt in with their email address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n That integrates directly with your email software. Interact is the only quiz software that directly integrates and segments those leads that come in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n So if you want to follow up with Kit, Flodesk, ActiveCampaign, or Klaviyo, it’s going to tag those leads so you can continue this concierge experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Like I said, we have many, many quizzes in the million club, way more in the half-million club, and a whole bunch in the quarter-million club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n What’s crazy to me, in a good way, but what is really crazy, is that a lot of the businesses that made those quizzes had an email list prior to having the quiz on the surface of their web presence, whether that was their link in bio, website, DM automations, show notes, or somewhere else.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Sometimes there were a few hundred or a few thousand people on that list. But once the quiz was implemented, when it really spoke to that question and that feeling, the numbers quite literally skyrocketed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n That’s always been the case. I’ve seen it over and over and over again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It is at that point, when you have captured attention, when you have clearly spoken to an audience, when the attention is coming in, and when people are very much engaging with the content you are putting out, that this 24\/7 concierge can be so helpful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It is in the format of a quiz because people love a quiz. They always have, and they always will.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And that is where it can be really helpful and bump up that conversion rate.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" When someone clicks through from your content, they usually don’t know what to do next.
