Senior Carina Wang is the Editor-in-Chief of Horizons. In school, she can be found participating in PALESTRA, taking yearbook pictures, and/or going through iPhone withdrawal. She loves peace, Starbucks, Pinterest, and her own Tumblr blog. Her top two aspirations in life are to top 10,000 followers (on the aforementioned Tumblr blog) and to go to NYU. Her favorite author is JK Rowling, and that's not “boring” or “lame,” @Nathan McCracken.
Senior Megan Rosen is the Editor-In-Chief for the 2017-2018 Colonel. She participates in the varsity tennis team and PALESTRA at LHS. When she is not in her constant state of sleepiness, you can find her eating a plethora of Mexican or breakfast foods while watching Food Network, although she could never cook a thing herself. After school, she enjoys browsing Pinterest and hanging out with Leonardo DiCaprio and Ezra Fitz, her cats, as they are better than most people. After high school she hopes to finally escape Connecticut after a long 17 years and attend High Point University to pursue psychiatry, or maybe she’ll change her major as much as she changes her favorite TV show...
Junior Jolie Suarez is a staff writer for the 2017-2018 Colonel. While binge-watching The Vampire Diaries, she eats salt and vinegar chips, Twizzlers, Wendy’s, Sour Patch Kids, and drinks Olive Garden limontas. You may deliver these foods at any reasonable hour to the main office for her.
Junior Julia Bennett is a staff writer for the 2017-2018 Colonel. She is a coffee and Italian food addict and can be found swooning over all things Teen Wolf, even though British TV is clearly superior because “english accents are to die for!”
Senior Trevor Hutchins is a staff writer for the 2017-2018 Colonel. He is one of the few three sport athletes at LHS and is President of Key Club. Trevor is also an avid Avatar watcher, an amateur guitar player, and can “whip up an irresistible secret sauce in the kitchen.”
Sophomore Alex Warmus is a staff writer for the 2017-2018 Colonel. He is a three sport athlete but more importantly, he will roast you.
Sophomore Nikolas Bailey is a staff writer for the 2017-2018 Colonel. In LHS he participates in soccer and baseball while also pursuing hobbies in graphic design and photography. When he’s not working, you’ll find him watching movies.
Sophomore Tajeah Winston is a staff writer for the 2017-2018 Colonel. She loves just about any sport almost as much as she loves cows. She is often spotted eating crazy amounts of white rice.
Sophomore Anna Leandri is a staff writer for the 2017-2018 Colonel and a serious Harry Potter addict. When she’s not eating Moe’s, she’s practicing volleyball and track plotting how to defeat all of her friends and family in various board games.
Junior Cassidy Carroll is a staff writer for the 2017-2018 Colonel. She plays varsity cross country, lacrosse, and track for LHS while also being a member of NAHS. Outside of Ledyard, she’s often taking part in daring adventures...but she didn’t share any.
Sophomore Noah Cayangyang is a staff writer for the 2017-2018 Colonel. He plays on the soccer and track teams at Ledyard. Noah is also the guitarist in what most people refer to as a “mildly decent band” and FUN FACT: he will *die* if you give him peanuts. Do not feed the wild Cayangyangs.
Sophomore Serina Walsh is a staff writer for the 2017-2018 Colonel. You will most likely find her up all night with a big bowl of Ramen studying memes so she is always up to date with them, watching various YouTube videos, and constantly leaving those who interrupt this sacred time ON READ.
Sophomore Erin Tolles is a staff writer for the 2017-2018 Colonel. Erin, a.k.a. ‘CRAZY CAT LADY’ enjoys singing and playing her ukelele. She would much rather be in summer camp being a super cool counselor than in school. Erin is obsessed with popcorn and Harry Potter, like most normal people, and flees America and travels to Austria annually.
