The first thing you need to do when your hair is damaged is get a trim and developed a healthy regimen.
If you suffer from chronic dryness, then you need to deep condition at least once a week with protein and moisture based products. Alternate each weekly!
While you are nursing your hair back to health, lay off the heat completely, no flat irons, curling wands or blow dryers.
(IF APPLICABLE) Avoid chemicals like relaxers or color until your hair is strong enough for a chemical treatment. Practice makes perfect, try your new healthy regimen for at least three months to see changes.
