You have the style of a Maverick Entrepreneur!
You possess very strong entrepreneurial characteristics. You probably find entrepreneurship a very desirable, exciting, and fulfilling way of life. Your appetite for risks and greater challenges might lead you toward creating an independent start-up. To succeed as widely as you can as Entrepreneurial Maverick, here are some suggestions:· Be careful not to fall in love with your own idea and launch it before you demonstrate that its solution solves a problem that a market is willing to pay for. Through my coaching session and courses, we spend significant time learning how to vet an idea before spending considerable money.· If you intend to build an empire as fast as possible, then spend some time exploring what it would mean to develop multiple units of turnkey concepts such as franchises or business opportunities, or even developing an entire region. But be careful there, as you might likely want to be the franchisor and not the franchisee. As long as you are willing to adopt someone else’s systems, procedures, and growth plan, you can be extremely successful in owning a large number of the right turnkey concept for you. Otherwise, consider the other two options of independent businesses, either as a startup or an acquisition. · If becoming a franchisor is more interesting to you than being a franchisee, then focus on building your own independent business by ensuring that it is systemized and profitable enough for potential franchisees to succeed. Again, follow a thoughtful due diligence process in vetting your idea before you even start with a business plan and make sure that its model will be scalable to your vision either via franchising someday or by expanding it organically.· With the right opportunity, turning around an existing business, even one that is not profitable, while acquiring it for cents on the dollar could be very exciting to you and lucrative. As always, to grow your business, develop your leadership skills by spending time identifying your true strengths (in talent and behavior), aligning yourself with a business that requires these strengths, and then consciously hiring (or outsourcing) a team that complements you.
