I spy with my little eye...
Congratulations: you’re a visual learner!
You rely on your eyes to help you learn, and whatever you see, you retain. You’re likely to think in pictures, have good observational skills and may have a good grasp of spatial dimensions (comprehending and manipulating 3D images and shapes in your mind). You’re good at creating pictures of how things should look or be and “mapping” challenges out in a way that you can understand. Try these study tips:
Create visual mind maps to break concepts down
Use images, videos, slides, maps, free-drawn plans or photographs as learning aids
Use books with diagrams and pictures
Use brightly coloured markers to highlight important pieces of text
Detect patterns in what you’re learning
Use colour, shape, interesting layouts and different fonts
Use symbols (@, #, &) and white space to make your study text and diagrams more visually appealing
Turn written-down or verbal puzzles and problems into visual ones in your head
Draw an actual picture to suss out an object’s relationship to its surroundings
