The Descent – Travel Anxiety
Sure, a trip with 5 of your besties *sounds* like a great idea, until you realize you’re going to crawl into a dark cave in the middle of nowhere. The Descent hits all the points of travel anxiety. The claustrophobia, getting lost, no cell service, and being “trapped” with no way back home.
For you, there’s nothing worse than lack of control. You have to know every detail of the plan. In fact, you have to know and OK every detail. Maybe you have strict parameters for travel (i.e. Won’t take public transit. Won’t get on a plane. Don’t go on boats. Must stay in a well-known location. Would NEVER Airbnb…etc). Or maybe you just decide it’s easier to avoid travel all together, leaving the exploring to others while you live vicariously through Instagram. In other words, travel anxiety is limiting your life.
