Vata elements (Air and Ether)
Vata is the principle of movement and as such is characterised as the subtle energy that governs biological movement of: - breathing - body sounds and sounds we produce- all changes in the metabolism - all movements: eye blink, muscles, tissues, heart beat, expansion & contraction, even movements at cellular level such as single nerve impulses - Feelings of freshness, nervousness, fear, anxiety, pain, tremors & spasms. - large intestines, pelvic cavity, bones, skin, ears and tights (if there is an excess of Vata, the body will accumulate energy in those areas)
When Vata is in balance, it promotes creativity & flexibility, and evokes feelings of happiness, freshness, lightness and joy.
