Unresolved Trauma from Painful Life Experiences
When we talk about trauma everything automatically thinks of the 'Big T' traumas like war veterans with PTSD, horrific accidents or natural disasters. What most people don't realise is that our minds don't discriminate between big and small traumas- it simply knows that an event or experience caused us to feel shock, fear, shame, guilt or anger.Traumatic events experienced at a young age, when our mind isn't mature enough to cope with what is happening to us, lead to us not being able to process the emotional wounding in a healthy, appropriate way, so we end up carrying those wounds (unresolved trauma) until we're ready and able to deal with appropriately. The sneaky thing about unresolved trauma is that it can show up with PTSD symptoms at the time, but left unresolved shows up with other symptoms later on, which most people don't connect as it could happen decades later. Some of the most common examples are:ProcrastinationResistance/ Lack of motivationTrouble focusing (brain fog)Not feeling good enoughFear of failureTrouble asking for helpPerfectionismNeeding to plan everythingFear of successUnhealthy or the the lack of boundariesAddictive behaviours Adrenal fatigueHealth issuesVery often the women I have th privilege to work with show up with a combination of these symptoms and we work together using a unique combination of therapy, clinical hypnotherapy and coaching to deal with all the emotional baggage, subconscious blocks and negative beliefs and behaviours so that they can consciously create the relationships, businesses and careers they always wanted. To help you get started on this journey, I'm inviting you to my FREE Masterclass on boundaries, which you can access below.
