Your Effort is Paying Off!
Good job! It's obvious that you put a lot of effort into staying in the present in your parenting. The skill of staying in the present is important because it allows us to avoid assumption that our own baggage will become our child's fate. Having strength in this skill also allows us to more easily avoid catastrophizing events as indicators of a much larger problem than what is realistic. Finally, strengths in this skill area allows us to more easily choose to put aside the many distractions in our world, in order to give our children the attention and connection they need to thrive.
