Scholar Phase
Your teen is in Scholar Phase!Around 13 years old students have the capacity for more rigorous studies. As they mature they become increasingly more competent in their studies. Through this phase, which generally lasts until around 16 years old, they need to be inspired to take on the difficult challenges necessary to create an amazing brain! That looks like longer study time, high-level academic challenges, learning how to think, developing their unique abilities, and building self-leadership. These skills will be used to craft a meaningful life for the teen and eventually create value in the world. You can best support your teen during this phase by helping to support and protect the space they need to take on challenges and make commitments. You can help them come into their own while still having a strong family foundation of support.
