Focus your social media efforts on Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest!
You already have a million things on your plate - social media doesn't have to be "one more thing" that causes you stress. Focus your social media efforts on Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest. These are the three platforms where your audience is the most likely to discover you. Aim to post at least 5-7 times per week on Instagram and Facebook. If that sounds like a lot, build up to it by starting with 2-3 times per week! Optimal Pinterest pinning frequency is 20-25 times per week. Take a look at this handy guide for advice on differentiating your Facebook and Instagram posts. If you're ready to push yourself with video, choose one of these video tools - Instagram Stories, Facebook Live, or Instagram Reels - and post weekly. Remember that hashtags are critical on Instagram, so include 15-30 hashtags in every post to attract your ideal audience. These videos can also be cross-posted onto Pinterest!By the way... Pinterest is less a social media platform and more a search engine. For product-based businesses, it's going to help you get discovered by a much wider audience and drive traffic to your website. Make sure you use keywords in your pin titles and captions!Ready to take on a bit more? Add Twitter and LinkedIn to your list!Twitter is all about "what's happening NOW?" It's a great platform for engaging in relevant conversations, especially in current events, politics, and education. Tweet 10-20 times per week at a minimum... but many of these can be retweets from other accounts. On LinkedIn, less is more. Aim for 3-5 posts per week. Celebrate your team and your clients on your company LinkedIn page. But don't forget about your personal account!
