The Mad Scientist!
You love your eating methodical and measured. Most foods to you are, at their core, just combinations of macros, nutrients, or ingredients, and you are well educated on which is which! You also have a curious personality in life, and your goals with eating are no exception — If there's something to track, measure, or calculate - you're on it!You pride yourself on the investigative skills you have, and it has served you well in keeping compliant with a variety of diets over the years... you just wonder sometimes if there is an easier way to do this eating thing without having it be so complex all the time. You are the kind of person who loves learning, and you may keep up with more than a few food bloggers, nutrition influencers, and wellness experts to keep the constant stream of information fresh. You are the definition of conscientious and in most situations, you accomplish things with thoughtfulness, intelligence, and die-hard dedication.“Life must be lived and curiosity kept alive" — Eleanor RooseveltReady to tweak your thinking about eating? Here’s the top diet mindset adjustments that will serve "The Mad Scientist" type well!1) Let food be food. Your intense scrutiny of what every food is made of can be harmful to your mission of health because it's very easy to make eating an exercise of numbers instead of pleasure.2) Allow all foods. Completely forbidding specific foods or entire food groups altogether (except for a medical reason) primes your brain to spend more time thinking about what you are missing. Trust your ability to enjoy things you like, and stop tracking and calculating everything!3) Check in with your body. You are attentive to how your body works, and you are ahead of most, in terms of understanding your physiology. Let some of your response to eating be heartfelt and not intellectual - and see where food fits into the bigger picture for you!I want to quickly introduce myself before you go!Hello, 👋🏻 I'm Maggie Landes MD!I’m a physician, nutritionist, and health coach helping women fix their food overwhelm and reduce stress with eating so that they can love food again without confusion, achieve their health goals, and get out of their own way!I created my signature getEATfluenced® online course and coaching programs for women just like you - who are burnt out on conflicting nutriton headlines, chronic dieting, and constant concern about your body + health.I also offer a private membership community called "The Chew Crew" where you can connect daily for tips & inspiration, be continuously coached by me, and grow in community with a group of like-minded gal pals to motivate you!Not ready for that yet?
