Friend, when it comes to balanced living, you’re not new to the game... but you can use a little bit more balance in your life, maybe in just 1 or 2 areas. Maybe you want to lose a few pounds, sleep a little deeper, or decrease your stress levels, change careers, and improve relationships…Whatever your goals may be, rest assured that with a little guidance and support you can achieve — even exceed — them."Your present circumstances don't determine where you can go; they merely determine where you start." — Nido QubeinThree tips to help you on your path to a healthy, happy lifestyle...1) Take a closer look at the areas where you're out of balance..Usually, when there are just one or two areas out of balance, they can feed off of each other, and if you really take a closer look there is one area, that if it is improved, will improve both areas that are out of balance.So look at the areas, see which one is affecting both areas out of balance and start by improving that area only.By focusing on improving only one area, you can be laser focused and improve your circumstances faster!2. Make a list...When you're looking at your one area, I want you to make a list of all the goals you can do to improve the balance. Don't spend too much time overthinking it, just keep writing stuff down you think will work.Only spend about 5 minutes doing this.3. Pick one thing...Now you're going to pick the one goal off of that list that will have the most impact. Spend at least 15-30 minutes a day working on that one thing until you achieve it.When you achieve that one goal, go back to the list and cross off all the things you achieved by working on that one goal. Then move on to the next goal until you can rate your self between a 7-10 in that area.Move on to the next out of balance area, if any, and start over!"Who’s this lady with all the tips?" For the past 5 years, I have been sitting down before the New Year and setting goals this way.
I got specific, I did it in an order to create a ripple effect, I included why it was important to me, I envisioned how I would feel when I reached these goals, I created a “Power Statement” as an affirmation and then I made it all into a piece of art! A beautiful Vision Board!
I looked at all I had accomplished that year, and I realized how powerful it was.
That was the day I realized that this goal-setting process actually WORKS. In fact, it doesn’t just work…. It brings you toward success in warp speed!
A lot can happen in a year, but a lot can also not happen if you don't have a plan and a process.
Could you imagine what your life would look like if you always gave 100%? Where would you be? Where would you be in the next 6 months to a year?
Where would you be if you did nothing?
The first year I just set some goals and then made the vision board. Then year after year I decided to set some strong intention behind the process and that's when I started really digging deep and figuring out why my dreams and goals were so important?
I learned if there is no real strong desire behind your goals you most likely will struggle to reach them.
I learned to set big goals that made me come out of my comfort zone but were believable to me. Also important!
Then, a Power Statement that represented how I wanted to feel that year after I reached those goals and used that as my own power statement.⠀⠀⠀⠀
And it was all fun!
Since then, I’ve been applying this tried and true goal-setting process every single New Year and even within the year when I hit my goals much faster than I intended using the ripple effect process! ⠀⠀
This is something I believe in because I am living proof that it works.
