You are in the discovering phase!
Congratulations, friend! You are in the discovering phase on your path of healing your trauma. You know there is work to do and you are absolutely ready to dive in and feel your best. You know it's time to heal what’s been keeping you back from living your best life. You are ready and want to learn how to become more self aware and build your toolbox full of amazing ways to start to work on yourself. Trauma and patterns have held you back from what you want to have and experience more of, but now you are wondering just how to make those changes needed. This place that may seem confusing, is the perfect positioning to change the trajectory of your life in the best possible way. Having this new awareness about yourself is exactly what it takes to lead you to where you want to be, even if you aren’t quite sure exactly where that is quite yet. It’s okay! When you start to heal your trauma, you will unveil abilities you never knew you had and they will lead you to places you never imagined you could go. This journey of introspection and awareness will awaken you to endless opportunities and a life that feels really good. It may seem hard to believe, however if you open your mind and your heart to new and somewhat uncomfortable experiences, you will find exactly what you are looking for: freedom.Once you stop trying to figure things out and instead learn to validate and acknowledge where you are in the moment, you will begin to allow the answers to come to you instead of tirelessly chasing them. The problem is, you have been so hard on yourself and now it's time to give yourself some grace so you can actually allow yourself to live the life you long for so deeply!!! You are so powerful and just having you here means you are ready to make some big changes.Up until now it may have been hard to feel what is really going on deep inside because it's been too painful to look at. Or maybe you are flooded with emotions and don’t know what to do. Either way, you know you are stuck on some level and not living the life you really want. The most painful part is not knowing what to do about it all. Ready to boost your healing? Try these 3 strategies...1. Pause before reacting. A little bit of a pause and internal questioning will make a big difference and help you start to see things in a new way. So the next time something activates or triggers you, just take a moment to pause and think about your reaction, ask yourself "Is this reaction going to help or hurt?" It's all about starting to become more conscious!2. Choose a growth mindset. Instead of seeing failure as a dead-end, view it as an opportunity to learn. Your mind is forever expanding. Just because you didn’t do so well at a task doesn’t mean you can’t — with a bit of practice — win big!3. Hold yourself lovingly. Remind yourself that you are human. Take some time every day to make sure you are nurturing yourself.Hello, friend! I’m Melissa Lapides, LMFT ✨I'm a licensed Integrative Psychotherapist and Trauma specialist.
