You're not an eco-warrior just yet...
CONGRATULATIONS on completing the, 'How sustainable is your wedding business? quiz! According to your results, you know that being more eco-friendly is important but you haven't really started to think about what you can do in your business to make it happen. That's ok! I'm here to help! The fact that you completed the quiz show that you know you need to make some changes.Three easy tips to get you strated on your sustainability journey...1. Recycle recycle recycle!Different items can be recycled in different areas. Why not take a look at your local council website and find out what can be recycled near you and what you need to do with it. You may be suprised at what you CAN recycle! Then, implement a waste management system in your workspace so you have a place to separate the different items ready to recycle them! This can be as simple as a set of different coloured waste bins or even some old cardboard boxes labelled with different items. 2. LED bulbs!LED bulbs on average do the same work as 25 incandescant bulbs over their lifetime. They are also completely recyclable and are free from all harsh chemicals and do not emit UV rays. Take a look at your workspace and try to replace all of the light sources with LED bulbs. Not only are you helping the environment you will also be saving money as LED's use less power!3. Buy yourself a keep cup and reusable water bottle!Usually I say try wherever possible to not buy new, however these are two things that you really should invest in!Over 7 million dispoasable coffee cups are used, and thrown away every day in the UK! That is crazy! Just think how much we could reduce this if we all had, and used, our own keep cup. If you have one or buy one, then make sure you use it! It's about making it a habit to carry it with you, in your bag, or remembering to take it with you when you go to get coffee."Who’s the Sustainability Queen behind all this?"
