Your Essence Role is... ARTISAN
According to The Michael Teachings, a channeled system for understanding the human experience, each of us has an innate Essence Role which is our primary "being-ness." It is through this perspective that we experience our lessons here on earth. There are seven roles: Priest, Server, Sage, Artisan, King, Warrior and Scholar. Our chosen ROLE is with us throughout the series of lifetimes we experience on Earth. Therefore, it is a very prominent aspect of our True Selves that can give us individual direction for how to best navigate our lives AND give us insight into what our true life purpose is about!ARTISAN is one of the two EXPRESSIVE Roles, along with Sage.Artisans express through their creations and moods. Both Artisans and Sages provide provide the emotional ambiance in their environments. Artisans and Sages both emphasize interconnection, communication and creativity in everything they do. The job of the Artisan is to create - to bring to the Earth everything that has not existed here prior. They not only bring in 'things' but also moods, new ideas, different possibilities to consider. Artisans are the most fluid and changeable of all the Roles, which keeps them open to influences from all realms. Earth can be difficult for Artisans though, because of it's dense and slow energy. Artisans are are extremely powerful because of their innate capacity to create, though they often hide behind unassuming or eccentric personalities. They tend towards being quiet and more introverted, avoiding crowds and lime lights. Artisans are the most eccentric of all the roles. They can 'morph' to appear like any of the other roles if they wish. The old soul Artisan may feel like they exist on the periphery of the mainstream of society. This can cause them to become more laid back because they don't need to conform to fit in, but they can also feel too different and isolated. Artisans may not become actual artists, but they always bring a creative flare to whatever they do. A major challenge for Artisans is that they can get confused about what's real and what's only a creation of reality that they conjured up. These ideas aren't really separate anyways - so you can see how slippery this can be for the fluid Artisan! This self‑deception can lead to suffering - "I thought this was real and I was so invested in it. But others didn't share my view." 3 Tips1. Create structure, a "container", for your creative energy. Most artisans resist making commitments with their time because they want to "freely create". The problem is that artisans can get really distracted by 'all the ideas' and end up feeling stuck. Taking a creative class can help move the energy out of you and into the world.2 We think #2 should be the same tip because artisans need this structure so much. But in lieu of saying it again...we'll re-frame the tip: Find an Artisan buddy and commit to get together once a week to express yourself creatively.3. Even if you have found comfort in staying in your little hole, create more for the world. Your energy is desperately needed in more abundance. Hello!
