You may have an increased risk for Type 2 Diabetes
We have something to work with.
You are at increased risk for having prediabetes and are at high risk for type 2 diabetes. However, only your doctor can tell for sure if you have type 2 diabetes or prediabetes, a condition in which blood sugar levels are higher than normal but not high enough yet to be diagnosed as type 2 diabetes. Talk to your doctor to see if additional testing is needed.
If you are African American, Hispanic/Latino American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian American, or Pacific Islander, you are at higher risk for prediabetes and type 2 diabetes.
“No one asks to be a diabetic”
Are you ready to reduce the risk of Type 2 Diabetes?
Are you ready to make lifestyle changes?
A CDC-recognized diabetes prevention lifestyle change program can help you build healthy new habits that last a lifetime. When you join The Nutritionist and Nurse CDC recognized diabetes prevention lifestyle change program, you'll learn, laugh, share stories, try new things, and build new habits—all while lowering your risk of type 2 diabetes and improving your health.
The CDC-approved curriculum with lessons, handouts, and other resources are built to help you make healthy changes.
As a lifestyle coach, I am specially trained to lead the program, to help you learn new skills, encourage you to set and meet goals and keep you motivated. I will facilitate discussions and help make the program fun and engaging.
With a support group of people with similar goals and challenges. Together, you can share ideas, celebrate successes, and work to overcome obstacles. It may be easier to make changes when you’re working as a group than doing it on your own.
Classes Start Weekly!
Hi, my name is Gwen! I'm the founder and owner of The Nutritionist and Nurse. I started this company after my Mom was diagnosed as a pre-diabetic and I myself had been at risk for type 2 diabetes because of a family history of diabetes.
My family has over 27 persons that have died of diabetes and its secondary diseases, so now I teach persons with or at risk of diabetes to live and thrive, with the expert knowledge needed to understand their condition, so they can create their healthy.
I had to make a difference, so I could live and thrive!
Everything that I teach is what I have and continue to practice.
