Sounds like you could some help!
Unless you just got engaged last week, in that case, congratulations! If you have had that ring for over a few months, you need help. Now that you have announced it to your family & friends, it's time to start planning! Here is your first, official wedding to-do list:1) Determine your guest list:- Talk to the people who are contributing to the event as they may want to invite their own friends/family (if you are allowing that)-Your vendors are considered part of your guest list and must be provided with a seat/meal (ie- photo/video/planner/DJ)-Anticipate a decrease of 6% - 10% of your guest list once RSVPs have gone out - but don't bank on it.2) Get organized:- Create a separate wedding email address to keep your wedding related emails separate from your personal emails.-Create vendor folders to separate the conversations. After a few months of email exchanges, the inbox could get very cluttered.-Put all your contracts into a Google Drive or Dropbox for easy access. You may want to reference them for payment information/deadlines. -Open a secondary bank account for all wedding purchases3) How to select your date:-Be mindful of annual events taking place in your local area, you may experience lack of vendor availability.- Are you doing indoor or outdoor ceremony/reception? Have you weighed out the pros and cons of each? Do you have a rain plan? How about a snow plan?- Do you have a must have vendor? If you really want a specific photographer/planner, check their availability first, or you might be out of luck! "Who’s this wedding planning guru giving me all the tips?"
