Traditional design is timeless and placeless, comfortable and finished. Furniture, fabric and color palettes reference history and are familiar rather than trend-setting. This style is rich, warm with an inviting feel that is symmetrical with few bright colors.
Contemporary style is a fusion and Eclectic mix of design styles from the late 20th century. Soft rounded seating with minimal, neutral elements and/or bold colors which focus on the basics elements of line, shape and form in a relaxed setting.
The words simple, cozy and comfortable express Farmhouse style which uses natural woods, soft fabrics and light colors. The style encompasses elements of Industrial, Cottage and Rustic design. Coastal design is similar with lots of natural textures and sun light mixed with blue, white and cream colors.
Mid Century Modern is defined by clean lines, organic forms, minimal ornamentation, and high functionality which spanned from the 1930s to 1960s. This includes the subset of Bohemian decor which incudes the mix of fun colors, textures and patterns. In contrast, Scandinavian decor is modern, clean with special attention to craftmanship.
