You've probably also noticed that it's not necessarily alleviated by rest. But, that's not to say you just have to suck it up and put up with feeling of being completely sucked dry...there is one thing you can focus on to easily help to revive your get-up-and-go!That ONE thing...is self-care!Let me explain...After a trauma like breast cancer we often go into a "cocoon" type phase...this is our next stage of recovery, but is rarely talked about. This is where we get to put back the pieces of our body, mind & soul that have been ripped apart...and yes, this is why we can feel so wiped out!To support yourself during this stage, it's crucial to nurture yourself. We do this with self-care.Self-care is the conscious act we take to promote our physical, mental and emotional health. In other words, self-care affects every single choice we make, and yet we are rarely taught how to actually practice it, until now.It can be so much easier to focus on what everyone else needs, and it can feel like a challenge to focus on what YOU need, especially when we feel like we've been asking for a lot of support during our breast cancer journey.
