You’re a... free + fearless creative!
When it comes to trying something new, you are all about taking chances. It just comes naturally to you, my friend, and (let’s be real) I am so envious! You want to try it all, and you want to try it now! Any way to get those creative juices flowing and you are there! You’ve got a knack for knowing exactly what lights you up, but you’re not afraid to take chances and try something new with your creativity (like a new type of paint or a cooking class even!)Passion isn’t your problem, but knowing what to do with that passion might be another story. Luckily, I’m here to point you down the right creative path just for you. Trust me, you’ve got the stuff!Quote3 QUICK TIPS TO START YOUR CREATIVE PRACTICE1. Find your MuseTake this as your invitation to dig into the things you love, and none of the stuff you don’t. You don’t need to get into everything — you just need to know what inspires you and makes you feel good and happy. Use those feelings.Take a quick look-see at your life and answer these questions: What brings you joy? What makes you sad? What do you enjoy? What do you absolutely NOT enjoy? What could you never live without? Take note, friend, the inspiration is in there.2. Say Goodbye to Following the RulesMost people will tell you there’s a ton of rules you need to follow in order to be truly creative... *crickets*......but that’s not going to happen here. Rules help you learn the basics, but what we want to do is learn the rules so you can BREAK THEM. Creativity is about play and leaning into the new and (sometimes) scary. You can do this.3. Just start. There’s never going to be a perfect time to start using your creativity, so why not start now? Even if you don’t feel creative, don’t think of yourself as creative, you ARE. The systems you use, the food you make, the way you organize your day — each of these things makes you creative in a different way from the person next to you. USE IT and DON’T BE AFRAID OF IT.Ready is a lie, and the best way to get started is to just begin. Whether it’s painting with your coffee everyday for 5 minutes or something entirely different, just START. Who’s the creative maven trying to tell me I’m creative behind all this?
