Your PGS score of 1 to 6 suggests that you are experiencing some of the grief symptoms common among people who have considerable problems functioning after their loss. Based on your responses to the scale, these grief symptoms may be slightly to moderately interfering with your day-to-day life. Your results do NOT mean you have a mental disorder. However, your results do suggest that you may want to seek some support for your grief during this period of adjustment. In addition to the grief experiences you just reported, most people experience feelings, such as sadness, yearning for the deceased, numbness, and even anger during bereavement. These grief experiences can also be unpleasant and intense, but gradually ease for most people to the point that they can eventually resume their lives again. However, if you find that your grief is debilitating and/or you are having trouble recovering from your loss, we encourage you to seek guidance from a mental health professional or doctor. We also encourage you to make an appointment with a mental health professional or a doctor if you would like a formal evaluation regarding your grief, or if you are experiencing other problems associated with your loss.###Quiz created by the Pandemic Grief Project andpresented by the Humanitarian Disaster Institute.###Resources:If you are thinking of hurting yourself or about suicide, seek help immediately:Call 911 or your local ER.Call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255).For more expert advice, additional quizzes, and a free COVID-19 Mental Health handbook, visit the National COVID-19 Day website.
