The Seeker
Not too bad! You haven't got the worst job in the world and your bills are (mostly) getting paid. Sure, you know you are worth more than they are paying you, you work your a$$ off everyday and your boss has zero leadership skills, but hey, you like the "security" of a steady paycheck! How does this happen? You've probably tried finding a better place to work - changed jobs - but after the glow of your new boss' unkept promises wore off, you found yourself in the same situation you had left. You've likely resolved that this is as good as it gets, I mean, everyone in that private Facebook Group has the same problems at work as you do. It's called work for a reason, right?Besides, you HAVE to work. It's not like you can just quit because it sucks. You have bills to pay! So, you go to work to get a paycheck - just like everyone else in the world. Wealth is for the lucky, the special, and those born into rich families. You suspect that people who say they love what they do are lying or crazy.Anyway, you don't need health insurance - your partners job provides that. And we all know that you are staying for the patients. You LOVE your patients!Does this mean Dental Start Up School is Not for You?Of course not! We're betting that if money were not an issue or the kids weren't so young, or whatever excuse you're currently using is, you'd say YES to more time to do things you love, to working less but making more and to living an authentic life that leaves you feeling fulfilled. Who wouldn't? Wait - maybe you.Working for a paycheck is fine - for factory workers, not health care providers. If it hasn't started already, eventually you'll have anxiety about going to work. However, that anxiety is not a BAD thing - it's your SOUL screaming at you to listen to it and to stop giving Fear so much of your decision-making power.Sadly, what we've found with folks in this score range is: they are a slave to the illusion of "security". They end up locked into mediocrity (or less) because they are fear-based thinkers. They like to know "what's going to happen", as if anyone ever really knows. They may have faith but they feel like it only comes through for other people. That said, your SOUL will only be ignored for so long. There will come a day, maybe that day is now - you DID take this quiz afterall - that you will get sick. Yup. Physical manifestations of ignoring our True North, of living a fear-based life, of not feeling worthy of faith coming through for US, will show up in your body and mind eventually.Chronic pain, depression, anxiety, daily drinking, lack of sex drive, having an affair, over-eating, over-exercising, and so on. We try to satisfy that restlessness and to fill up the feeling of "something's missing".Here's the thing:If you are meant to do something more: you HAVE to do it or you suffer. The middle ground you've been trying to live in cannot last. It's really just a matter of time. The truth is you ARE ready, you're just, ahem, listening to Fear, who is a total liar, BTW.But that's ok! You can bring your Fear with you to Dental Startup School - lots of people do! We know exactly how to deal with that Fool and show you the way to REAL security. We're ready. You're ready. We'll leave the light on for you.
