You'd make an awesome Group Leader, Assistant Group Leader, or Support Committee member!
With your commitment to the community and excellent organisational abilities, any Scout Group would be lucky to have you on its team. You're keen to provide support and ensure that our Leaders are equipped to deliver a high-quality and well-resourced youth program.Group Leaders are responsible for the management and growth of their Group and the youth sections within it. They work closely with their team of Leaders, the Group's Support Committee, and a supportive District leadership team. Group Leaders are ably assisted by Assistant Group Leaders, and this is a great place for young Leaders to start. Support Committees are non-uniformed volunteers who coordinate a range of functions in support of the Group's Leaders, including finance, fundraising, equipment, and Hall hire.For any of these roles, communication skills are crucial and you'll delight in welcoming new parents to the Scout Group and making their experience in Scouting an active one. Group Leaders and their Support Committees engage in a large amount of planning, which acts to secure the Group's sustainability and advancement into the future.
