YOUR OVERWHELM ZONE: Feeling Disconnected
While you might be feeling stressed or overwhelmed in a number of areas right now, your assessment results indicate that your biggest source of stress right now is with needing more support, feeling afraid, and feeling disconnected. While things like organizing your schedule, maintaining a healthy routine, and staying productive are likely significant stressors for you, it's possible that your biggest source of overwhelm and frustration comes from not having enough support, encouragement or accountability. It's likely that your normal routine has been completely disrupted. You may even feel anxious or angry and afraid, or find yourself struggling with sleep. The first thing you need to know is that it is perfectly normal to feel stressed about life in general right now, especially in the aftermath of a pandemic that has dramatically impacted all aspects of our lives in a very short amount of time. You might be still just trying to get your bearings and figure out your routine, and that's okay. Be sure to give yourself a LOT of grace right now, even as you work to figure it out. Rome wasn't built in a day, and your effective system for staying productive might not happen overnight either. That said, the quicker you can get yourself the support you need during this stressful time, as well as the guidance to help form a plan of action that will help you thrive, the less overwhelmed you will feel—guaranteed.
