Your Archetype is... Jetsetter
Travel is your middle name. Not only are you a regular in all your favorite spots, but people are also starting to ask you for directions! You're getting so good at this, you're basically the tour guide. You have cracked the code when it comes to early-stage business struggles (business plans, product refinement, marketing, finances). Now it's time to get organized so you can scale your business and lead your team. GOALThe goal of the Jetsetter stage is to organize the backend of your business and get ready to scale!Let's talk about roadblocks. This stage is exciting, but it comes with its own challenges. As your business grows, you will be pulled in multiple directions, and your time will have a growing list of demands. A few things that you'll notice competing for your attention:- increasing levels of revenue that need to be managed - customers that need attention - new competitors to be aware of - an expanding workforce Stepping into your role as CEO of the company is critical at this stage. You'll still be needed in the day-to-day, but if you're not aware of your expanding team's needs, you'll quickly become overwhelmed! Start establishing order and clear expectations as soon as possible.THERE’S NO ONE WAY OF DOING BUSINESS. BUT CHEERS FOR DOING BUSINESS BETTER.__Without further ado... The Jetsetter Business Plan:1. SET UP TOOLS AND PROCESSESTools and systems are the favorite way for a newbie in business for unnecessary spending. But you're no longer a newbie, and scaling requires a whole new list of tools and systems. Choose your sales and marketing toolkit carefully: find the best tools to facilitate your customer acquisition and support when your business takes off. These tools need to include project/task management software, CRM, CMS, data gathering and analytics, and more. Create clear processes for your sales, marketing, and operations, and don't forget to create SOPs (standard operating procedures) to strengthen your team and ensure consistency and quality.2. LEARN TO OUTSOURCE AND DELEGATEThis can be hard, especially for the woman who grew her business from scratch by hustling, staying up late, and going through the struggles only a business of one can experience. And at this stage, the most important factor is trust. Having SOPs and a set hiring process is half of the job. To decide which of the tasks or functions of your business you should outsource, let's start by keeping a diary of everything that you do. Then group them into tasks that contribute to your bottom line, things you like to do, things that suck up your time, and things you are good at. 3. TRANSITION INTO THE CEO ROLEMany founders struggle to make the personal changes necessary to survive as the CEO of a growing firm. Becoming a CEO means getting out of the weeds and removing yourself from the day-to-day. You have to see the bigger picture, look beyond just the next quarter, and see potential challenges and opportunities on the horizon. The culture is no longer an extension of you.
