Classic Style
Your Classic style prefers a smaller wardrobe of tailored pieces that you can mix and match in various ways. You shy away from trends, and your shoes are stylish but unadorned. You choose neutral colors over flashy colors, and your accessories are classic and modest. You have a hard time spending money on anything that doesn't fit your definition of "classic." Style Tips 1) Get InspiredYou may need a shove out of your comfort zone to try a new style! Is there a friend, co-worker, or perhaps the next-door neighbor whose style you admire? Make a note of what it is in particular that you like about their style. Better yet, engage them in conversation if possible and ask them if it would be okay if you took a snap of their outfit. Alternatively, head out to the nearest mall and park yourself at the nearest Starbucks or Nordstrom Cafe and check out the shoppers! Checking out the mannequins is another way to get new style ideas. Find your favorite fashion diva on IG, FB, or Pinterest and follow them!Define a "Style Inspiration" list of the style ingredients you want to introduce into your wardrobe. 2) Get CreativeLet go of style rules that limit your fashion choices. Instead, push yourself out of your comfort zone and try out one of those style ingredients you listed in step 1. Make a change in your personal style, whether it's switching up your hairstyle, adding a new accessory, or trying out a new color. Experimentation is critical in the creative process. I have heard many women knock down an idea before giving it a go! It's important in fashion to have an open mind! 3) Closet CleanseNow that you know your style, it's time to cleanse your closet of pieces that don't support your signature style, no longer fit, or do not have a purpose. Assemble each piece in an outfit to ensure you have no "orphaned" items remaining in your closet. Make a list of crucial capsule and essential pieces you need to complete your updated wardrobe. Practice these tips regularly, and regardless of your style, your wardrobe will remain fresh and up-to-date year after year!Hi, I'm Beth, the founder of MyPetiteStyle and the author of this quiz.
