Start with a business planI know this isn’t always the fun part, but it is oh so necessary! Get your business plan on paper! Start with a high-level outline then fill in the details. Ensure to include things such as market demographics, what products/services will you offer and what prices, what will the cost be to open, how will you market, ect. This document will be your guide as you take your ideas you take your idea to Grand Opening. It will also be useful to provide when obtaining a lease, funding, or permits.Not sure where to begin? Success isn’t about what you do as much as who you know. When you invest time not only in meeting entrepreneurs from your industry, but also getting to know local business, it will pay off in dividends. Set a goal to meet two local business owners this week. Who knows, you may find a business you can partner with in the future or gain some valuable insight on the local market.You will never know until you get out there a try!3. Location is everythingIt may seem obvious, but you may find yourself in a scenerio wondering if you should go for the cheaper rent at the back of the shopping center rather than front and center. Were here to tell you, No! Front and center, baby! While you may not always land the perfect location, take the best location you can.
