Good to know! Here's what to expect...
Homeschooling typically means you're spending a ton of time with your children. Here's a homeschool-friendly calendar to get an idea of what a month could look like. Drop off programs (like Parts and Crafts) may help if any of you need a break. It has a full-day homeschool program for kids ages 7 and up. If drop-off programs aren't a great fit (for example if you have a younger child), consider having them spend time with family. Weekends with grandparents, retired aunts, uncles, cousins, or even friends, can be extremely helpful for homeschoolers of any age. Just make sure it's someone you trust! Your children will have a blast and you'll get some time to yourself. In the meantime, homeschooling is a big commitment -- so totally take your time to make sure it's the right fit for you. I'm not trying to discourage you -- I just want to be as honest as possible, so that you are somewhat aware of what to expect. The great thing about this life choice is that you can homeschool for a year, a few years or a season. I've met families who've homeschooled up until 3rd grade, until middle school, and until high school. Meaning, they did not homeschool their children for their entire academic career. You have plenty of options and I hope you discover the best one for you and your family! If things change, you can always retake this quiz to see if you have different results.Hope this helps!
