You're a highly imaginative and artistic individualWhen it comes to your Interior Design projects you like to be innovative. You pour your heart and soul into the creative aspects of the job, and like experimenting with new styles and ideas. You'll work all hours to achieve your creative vision and relish the opportunity of working on new collaborations and interesting projects - there's no niching for you!Everything around you fuels your creativity, with inspiration around every corner. I don't know you, but your creative instinct and flair might mean that you struggle with the practical aspects of running a business, such as marketing, budgeting, and project management. If this is the case, you may benefit from partnering with a business-minded colleague or hiring a business manager, let them oversee the business side of things so you can stay in the creative zone you love so much!
You're an empathetic and intuitive designer. For you, the client always comes first. It's so important to you that your Interior Design clients love the finished look. You'll go above and beyond to fix any issues on site or to get the brief just right, even if that means putting in extra hours. You build strong relationships with your clients; they love you and won't hesitate to recommend you to their friends and family. You're focused on creating interior spaces that make others feel comfortable and happy. I don't know you, but your answers suggest that always putting the customer first might mean that occasionally the boundaries get a little fuzzy. In your efforts to deliver excellent service AND nail the client's vision - you might just end up a little exhausted and overwhelmed (and sometimes out of pocket). If this is the case, try managing client expectations and setting boundaries more confidently at the beginning of your projects. Your future self will thank you.
You're a designer who's going places! I must have seen your work in a magazine.
Always on the lookout for the next big interior design project, you're focused and ambitious and enjoy creating beautiful spaces. You love the challenge of a design brief that is outside of your comfort zone. It might give you butterflies, but you want to flex your creative muscles and are prepared to take risks to achieve success. You're organised and take pride in managing your projects efficiently. You have defined processes in place for your business, but you're also comfortable to jump straight into problem solving on site to keep things on track. I don't know you of course, but I suspect your business is going from strength to strength, growing year on year at an astounding rate. Whilst this is an amazing achievement, don't forget why you started an Interior Design business in the first place. As you focus on growing and managing the business it may take you further away from the design - and that would be a shame as the world still needs your creativity too! It's all about balance.
