Your archnemesis is…The Power Drainer
You're bursting with ambition and ideas...but constantly feel like you're running on empty and can't seem to get everything done. You wake up, and instead of leaping out of bed ready to seize the day, you're hitting snooze.Your long list of daily to-dos seems like an uphill battle, and despite your best efforts, you're consistently feeling wiped out by mid-afternoon and searching for caffeine, a sugary snack, or a nap. A lack of energy, aka The Power Drainer, is a subtle enemy. It creeps in, gradually draining your vitality, making everyday tasks feel as hard to manage as lifting Thor's hammer. It's no wonder all of these daily energy battles have left you feeling about as good as Superman around Kryptonite!Fear not! Here are three energizing tips to overcome The Power Drainer:1. Prioritize Rest:Sleep is not a luxury, it's a necessity. Establish a regular sleep schedule, aiming for 7-9 hours per night. Remember, even superhumans need to rest and recover! Two easy ways to set yourself up for sleep success are to- Turn off technology at least 1-2 hours before bed.- Turn down the thermostat.Research has shown that 60-67 degrees F is an optimal sleep temperature for most people.Smartphones, computers, TVs, etc all emit blue light that disrupts our natural sleep cycles. Decreasing exposure to light in the evening, and blue light in particular, is an easy way to help your body prepare for sleep. 2. Eat for Energy:Your diet has a massive impact on your energy levels. Opt for nutrient-dense foods that provide sustained energy like whole grains, lean proteins, fruits, and vegetables. Boost your mental performance with a diet rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which support proper blood flow in your brain. 🧠3. Move More:Regular physical activity boosts your energy levels. Find a form of exercise you love, and make it a non-negotiable part of your routine. It may sound counterintuitive that you need to expend energy to get energy, but your body rewards you with feel-good endorphins when you exercise.Plus, nothing Hulk-smashes stress as well as exercise!Still lacking motivation? Did you know...Exercise actually causes new brain cells to grow – which can improve your mood, help your memory and help prevent cognitive decline as we age! 🧠 Do your brain and your booty a favor and get moving!Hi, I’m Julie Lowe!I'm a Certified High Performance Coach and NeuroCoach. In simple terms, that means I help people work smarter by using brain-based coaching to improve thinking, focus, decision-making, and time management, so they can get more done.My work focuses on supercharging your success with high-performance habits so you don't burn out or want to burn it all down.In my Superhuman Experiment coaching program, I reveal the science-backed practices that have personally changed my life and my clients' lives so you can have breakthroughs in your brain, body, and bank account as well.My expertise has been featured on Good Morning Washington, the nationally syndicated TV show The List, Huffington Post, and Yahoo!
