Intimacy and Pleasure (Spring and Summer)
You've created a safe haven for your nervous system, and while you may still have moments of activation, this is entirely okay. The goal isn't to always be calm, but to have more natural resilience when we feel out of balance. You're in your Spring and Summer era, the seasons of unearthing, blooming, and energy. You’ve cultivated safety and cleared space, now your healing is inviting you into your feminine power, sensuality, and joy. This phase is about connection to yourself, others, and the world. You’re ready to reclaim your light, your softness, your boundaries, and your worth.Intimacy and pleasure is less about sexuality and more about being open to the entire human experience. The opposite of trauma isn't "healed". It's fully embodying joy, happiness, pleasure, and love. There is a lot of vulnerability in these feelings, but this stage of healing means you're willing to explore this, showing just how far you've come. If you choose to include sexuality in this phase of healing, fully embracing all forms of positive feeling will be supportive and allow more presence in your experiences. I invite you to explore practices that celebrate embodiment, play, and self-love. If you feel comfortable, you might even include gentle self-touch practices like grazing your arm, seeing what feels pleasurable within this feeling. You could also notice when you feel pleasure throughout your day like taking a shower, eating, or being outside or with people you love. I also invite you to introduce more play, the definition meaning: time spent without purpose. You might explore hobbies, video games, intuitive movement, playing with a pet, anything that brings you joy. This season of healing is about rediscovering and revealing the version of you that felt needed to hide after trauma. It's less about being happy all the time and forgetting the past, but more about embracing all pieces of us, our vulnerability, and our experience. It's a gentle return home.
