Integration & Joy (Spring and Summer)
You’ve created a foundation of safety within your nervous system. While moments of activation may still arise, they don’t overwhelm you as much. It may feel like you’re starting to feel whole with more moments of genuine connection and joy when before it could’ve been more of a performance to appear this way. The biggest shift in this stage is you begin to notice small changes and see more light. You might notice you’re having different reactions in situations, maybe by responding instead of reacting. You might find more joy in little things of life you used to rush through like showering, being with company, or returning to hobbies. You also may have begun to notice more awareness, exploration, and following your inner voice during holistic and somatic practices. You might feel more comfortable with self touch like self hugs, placing your hands on parts of your body, or somatic practices that include self touch or deeper exploration.I invite you to explore practices that support integration and joy like gentle movement, moments of comfort, creativity, rest, and play. These are not about trying to push or fix anything, but about noticing where softness, presence, and aliveness already exist in your body, mind, and daily life.In a world that often has the next goal in mind, I believe there are moments of healing that don’t require work. Moments where you can live, breath, feel, and simply take in the moment. This season is about this, embracing the light, and maybe seeing if it’s possible to hold this season without anticipating waves. If you’d like to explore practices like these, I invite you to join the Cozy Corner, my free trauma-informed yoga library. Inside, you’ll find gentle yoga, meditations, and somatic practices designed to support integration, ease, and everyday joy, all organized by healing season so you can meet yourself where you are. I welcome you to learn more below.
