A lack of support is the biggest cause of your stress!
Your feel alone. You either don't have a team, or you keep having to help them do their work. You carry the full responsibility of keeping this business running and you feel like no one understands or helps. This is not uncommon. Business ownership is a lonely road! But there ARE things you can do to get the support you need.Three Tips to Help You Find SupportJoin a supportive networkMost people think that networking is there to find clients. And sure, it might get you some clients (if you do it right). But the real reason every single business owner should network, is to hang out with people just like you. Other business owners, who know what you are going through and understand the growing pains that you are experiencing - and can possibly help you with them too!Don't just join the first network you come across, try a couple until you find the one that aligns with your values and fits your personality. There will be one and if you network right, you are going to find some of the best friends you have ever had!Review your systemsIts not uncommon for business owners to end up disappointed by team members. Sometimes this is because you hired a bad apple. But more often than not, the reason your team members are letting you down, is you.The only way team members can be productive and efficient, is with clearly defined and documented systems. If you are relying on your staff's qualifications and "common sense", you are definitely going to be disappointed by the results. Create a "Ways of Working" document that clearly spells out how you expect things to be done - you will be amazed at the results!Find an accountability partnerLook for a business owner who has already achieved your dream, and ask them to be your accountability partner. Meet with each other regularly, be open and honest about where your business is, and share your goals. The regular meetings will encourage you to actually achieve those goals so you have something to report back, while also providing you with a friend and a mentor. If you battle to find an accountability partner, or even if you do, take the leap and invest in a business coach or advisor. Having someone who has already been there, done that, and knows how to help you, takes a massive amount of pressure off your shoulders! And they will use a proven framework to help you achieve your dreams.Who am I to help you grow your business? Let me introduce myself…Hi! My name is Tamryn.
