The Void
You are in the Void. You are in the between, that strange liminal twilight phase, where you are not one thing but also not the other. This is the betwixt and between place where identity is temporarily suspended and we become soft clay ready to be reshaped. This is where we have to rely on something deeper than our previous coping mechanisms and ways of being in the world. This soul threshold is the chrysalis, the deep of winter, the pause between patterns, the silence between sounds. It is entirely uncomfortable to parts of us, yet it is sacred. You may feel unmoored, directionless, or strangely empty. You may find it hard to picture your future or know what you want. You may feel like you are failing at something, yet you’re hovering at a precipice moment where everything begins to change. The void feels empty but it’s actually full of potential and possibility. This threshold requires something most of our culture is spectacularly ill-equipped to offer: the capacity to be with not-knowing. To trust that the dissolution has purpose. To resist the urge to fill the space prematurely with the next thing, relationship, identity, or plan. The soul does its most essential work in the void. To rush it is to stifle the very intelligence guiding you through this. This soul threshold is meant to be navigated with patience, support, and someone who knows this terrain from the inside and is not afraid of the dark.
