Using a quiz to recommend the right service for a Med Spa saves time and increases bookings. It saves time because people aren’t calling or writing in asking which service they should get. It increases bookings because personalized recommendations are shown to increase sales in numerous studies.
I want to highlight the service recommendation quiz from Flora Spa & Aesthetic Bar in Wexfor, PA. They did such an excellent job with creating and implementing their quiz that I had to show it off for you. Let’s begin the service recommendation quiz experience on the Flora Spa website (it’s also linked from their link in bio on social media). In the header of their website there is a banner bar and button to take the quiz, which is titled “What appointment should I schedule?” very simple, very specific to what the customer wants, no frills.
When you click the “Take Quiz” button from the header banner bar, the quiz opens up in a popup right on the page, so you don’t have to leave the page. This is a setting you can adjust in Interact with our header banner promotion option.
Once you click or tap the “Take Quiz” button, you begin answering the questions to find your ideal service. The questions begin with your price point. This is perfect because I don’t want to be recommended a service that sounds great but is way outside my price range.
The next question asks about time commitment, and how long you would want to spend on your treatment. I really like that the questions on this service recommendation quiz are obvious things you would be thinking about if you were booking a service at Flora Spa. When someone is answering these questions, they are what you would expect. For a service recommendation quiz that’s exactly what you want because you are trying to save the person taking the quiz their time, and it will be clear to that person if the questions are obvious that you are simply helping them save time choosing a service.
In all there are five questions in the Flora Spa Quiz, each one simple and relevant to recommending a service. As the quiz taker you know exactly why you’re answering the questions, and you know it’s leading you towards a recommendation that will be helpful to you.
Once you answer all five questions you get a ranking of the top recommended services for you based on your answer choices in the quiz. I like this because it gives you options, but not too many options. This uses Interact’s show multiple results feature.
If you click the “More Details” button on any of the recommended results, you can see the full details of the service, with a link to book the service. The total text length on these pages is between 75-150 words, plenty of room to give a detailed description, while keeping it brief.
Thanks to Flora Spa for creating such a well implemented service recommendation quiz. I’m impressed by the simplicity and thoroughness of it. As you go through their quiz, it feels complete, but doesn’t take much of your time as the quiz taker. And I’m sure it saves a ton of time from people calling in to ask about services.
