What's your pre-wedding self-care hack?

You've made all the plans and set all the dates, now it’s crunch time! ⏰What’s your bridal self-care super hack to get you down the aisle on your best foot?💍

Take the Quiz

Your wedding has a Yelp review? Srsly? What does it say?

"Best. Party. Ever! Not only was the cake super unique and delicious, that dance party was off the hook! And I can’t wait to see the pics from the photo booth. 5 stars! Would say “I do” again and again!"

"Chic, classy, timeless. Non-traditional in the best ways. Dare I say Gatsby-esque?"

"When I say this wedding was clockwork, I don’t mean orange. Everything was planned down to the perfect engraved wedding favours placed on each perfectly folded napkin. You could feel the love in all the details."

"It’s not every wedding that leaves you feeling like you’ve been hugged by an entire family. I can only hope to see love like that present in the church when I get married. Wholesome traditions done right!"

1 / 10

How do you feel about wedding traditions?

As long as everything goes according to plan, I don’t care that much how traditional they are.

Traditions are fine and dandy, but I’m here to get this party started!

I’ve always seen my wedding happening in a church, wearing something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue. Can’t wait to cut the cake and toss the garter!

“I do what I want.” *mic drop*

Your pre-wedding self-care Super Hack is... Wine Tour Wind-Down!

You’re a force of nature — decisive, energetic, and driven to achieve your vision of a perfect wedding. Always ready to adapt to new challenges, you’re a bride to be reckoned with.

There’s no doubt that you have a clear vision for your wedding, and it isn’t going to be a traditional church ceremony for you, no no.

Always chic and dressed to impress, your taste is impeccable and precise, and your wedding will be, too. Which is why you likely hired a wedding planner almost as soon as you saw your groom on bended knee.

Your Pinterest Wedding Board is full of modern styles, elegant designs, and inspired touches, all culminating in an event to be remembered. Not afraid to flaunt convention, you’ll challenge your wedding planner to a cocktail tapas reception instead of a more formal plated service.

Quick to make necessary decisions and always ready to roll with the punches, even you can’t help but get frustrated when your vision is threatened by disorganization. You might even teeter into Bridezilla territory if the pressure gets to be too much.

But don’t worry, I’ve got a bunch of helpful tips and tricks to help calm your mind and reclaim your Zen as you navigate the tricky waters of planning your dream wedding.

You’re easily overwhelmed by the tiny little details that go into making a wedding happen, and you don’t want to find yourself barking at people in your frustration, so remember to delegate whenever possible.

Your wedding planner is a great start, but don’t forget your little sister, your best friend, and even the neighbor lady who loves to bake banana bread. Everyone is a potential ally!

And what better way to corral your troops than during a relaxing wine tour, meandering through the grape strewn countryside chauffeured by your very own spa bus, where you’ll be pampered between pit stops at all the greatest local vintners.

There, you’ll sample all their lovely bubbles and hopefully choose a unique and memorable Champagne to toast your love with on the Big Day.

By the end of your much-needed wind-down, you and your wedding posse will be floating on clouds of relaxation and carbonation, complete with mini-manis and express facials.

Here are 3 tips to get you down the aisle on a full charge!

1. First things first

Human beings don't have gas tanks, but we still need Premium fuel to keep our bodies running in tip top shape. Leading up to a wedding, there are so many last minute details begging for your attention, it’s easy to forget to properly nourish your body. By the third time you drive thru for a greasy burger, you’re over it, but meal planning and food prep are the last of your concerns!

Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.

Click here to download the Perfect Pre-wedding Meal Plan + Grocery List, full of healthful, easy to prepare, delicious meals to help you detox, brighten your skin, and keep you the right size for your wedding dress. (Nobody wants a last minute trip to the seamstress to fit those chicken nuggets into your Fit’n’Flare Mermaid dress, amiright?)

2. Meditate

When in the midst of planning something with as many moving parts as a wedding, it’s important to let your mind shut down and be clear so that you can reset and defragment.

Bookending is a way to create a routine at the beginning and end of your day where your mind is cleared and you journal your intentions in the morning, and your reflections in the evening.

It’s also a great place to jot down any thoughts that can crop up while you’re trying to let your mind be still. “Alexa, add ‘remind me to ask the DJ not to play any NSFW songs until after Grandma goes back to the hotel.

3. Exercise

I know, who has time to hit the gym when you’re making a million and one decisions about things you never thought about before?

But taking the time to see to the needs of your body doesn’t just mean healthy foods and face masks. Movement is how you ground your mind and anchor your thoughts into your present moment.

You don’t need to put on your running shoes to get your blood flowing, just take a time out from seating charts and flower arrangements to enjoy a system reset and some home-made endorphins, with 10 minutes to either:

1) Stretch — pick your 4 favorite yoga stretches and make a small routine and do 3 reps. Forward Fold, Downward Dog, Pigeon and Warrior can bring alignment to your thoughts and clarity to your focus.

2) Dance — to 3 of your most upbeat songs. Show Lizzo how much of a badass bride you are and Pump it up to the Tempo.

3) Walk — around your neighborhood and listen to the birds gossiping in the trees while inhaling all those seasonal allergies!

BONUS SELF-CARE TIP: A 20 minute soak in a hot bath with a handful of Epsom salts, 10 drops of lavender essential oil, and half a cup of baking soda draws out toxins, lowers your stress hormones, and balances your PH. Did I mention it also soothes your weary soul?

Your pre-wedding self-care Super Hack is... Power Hour Planfest

You're driven, organized, and you aren’t here to mess around. Your wedding day is going to be the event of the season!

You’re a take-charge kinda gal and like to stay on top of the details so every plan comes together perfectly. So while some brides need to unplug to unwind, you need to be in the action to really feel comfortable.

How many tables at the reception? You’ve got all those numbers on lock.

When are you going to your fittings and hair trials? Your calendar is set up with reminders and alerts so you don’t miss a thing.

Have 3 vegans and a Celiac confirmed as +Ones? No prob, you’ve got some great recipes to share with your caterer.

Leave the spa days and ladies nights out to the other brides, what you need is a battle session with planning, strategies, and checklists. Oh, will there ever be checklists. And Post-Its, yeah!

Ever one to make the best of a willing team of helpers, you’ll delegate your way into the Planner’s High, a heightened state of awareness usually reserved for high level martial arts practitioners and Keanu Reeves.

As you walk down the aisle, the glow of pleasure you get from seeing your careful planning brought to life will shine from your face and dazzle your guests.

But leading up to the big day it can be easy to forget the basic parts of self-care in favor of efficiency, so while your Power Planning Session with your Wedding Team is the ultimate way to help you unwind…

Here are some tips to keep your mind and body grounded, so you can roll with any problems that arise when it's time to make your dream wedding a reality.

Your attention to detail can often leave you with such a narrow focus that your own needs get left behind, so try to take the time to make sure you drink enough fluids, eat a balanced diet, and get the exercise your body needs to stay alert and ready to roll with any crisis that pops up and needs you expert decision making skills.

And while your vision is a masterpiece of careful planning and tasteful execution, you don't want to stress your budget too much. Pick the things that you know you can't compromise on and then look for a more thrifty way to achieve the others. It's amazing what a group of ladies and a glue gun can accomplish!

💕 Taking care of yourself doesn't always mean “me first,” it can sometimes mean “me, too.” 💕

Your pre-wedding self-care Super Hack is... Adventure Time!

You're as unique as they come, and you're always looking for new and fun ways to express yourself and experience the world.

You want your wedding to be a memorable affair, filled with wonders to inspire, enthrall, and delight your guests.

The problem is, you're a visionary, and while you can see your dream wedding day unfolding before your eyes, the planning that goes into making that dream a reality isn't exactly geared toward your skillset.

All that planning will drain your batteries faster than Elon Musk, leaving you a dream machine that's run out of juice.

What you need is a zany day of adventure with your crew of merry gentleladies in tow!

A trip to the local Kangaroo Farm to pet the critters, followed by a bicycle based scavenger hunt through the cultural district, ending up with themed karaoke at your favorite spot will have you recharged, reenergized, and ready to face the duties of a Bride-To-Be.

With all the fun and crazy random adventures filling your cup until it's overflowing with abundant energy and inspiration, you'll put the fun back into your wedding planning in no time!

But it's easy to forget the body's basic needs in the pursuit of the next great adventure, so here are some tips to help take care of you along the way.

It can be pretty easy to get swept up in the wedding planning process, and in between strategy meetings and fitting appointments, you can lose sight of the big picture. And for a person like you who wants to create the most unique wedding around, is important to prioritize.

Try to pick 3 main elements to really wow your guests and throw your energy at them.

A dazzling cake, a one of a kind, show-stopping dress, and a zany photobooth to remember should take priority over the tiny bows on the wedding favors and the glasses people are drinking out of. Those details can easily be delegated to lighten your mental load.

Less is more, but you’re not afraid to be a little extra where it counts. We all know your party → I mean wedding ← will be the funnest, most memorable event of the year!

💕 Taking care of yourself doesn't always mean “me first,” it can sometimes mean “me, too.” 💕

Your pre-wedding self-care Super Hack is... Spa Day with the Ladies!

You're a creature of comfort and you love a good pampering! Nails done, hair did, body rubbed and skin glowing is your path to stress detox and bridal bliss.

You’re a tactile person, always reaching for the coziest sweaters, and you give the BEST hugs! People always tell you how much you make them feel loved and cared for, so it’s no surprise that touch and loving care is your gateway to wedding day ease - and wedding night bliss!

Not one to get bogged down in the details that can drive the Bridezillas around the bend, you’re all about how everyone feels coming up to the big day, and holding onto the stressful demands and emotions of your bridesmaids, your future MiL, the caterer...everyone! Is enough to send you running for the comfort of your favorite chair and a good book.

Luckily, you’re a fan of tradition, and you can count on your family to support you throughout the planning process from “Will you marry me?” right up until “I do.” With much of the details predetermined you can relax into the comfort of knowing everything will fall into place, as has happened so many times before.

Still, the constant need for decisions and oversight can leave you feeling depleted and burnt out, and that’s not what a joyful bride like you needs before your big day!

Time to sit back, relax, and take advantage of the mimosas and fresh fruit they’re serving alongside your mineral mud body wrap.

And a sharing, caring bride like you won't feel fully relaxed until you know your crew is in pampered bliss right next to you. Time to call around for group rates at your favourite spa!

Here are some tips to help you keep a little in reserve for yourself ...

You tend to put others' needs before your own, so stamp down that urge to come last and invite your ladies to join you for a Spa Day Tune-up! Most salons offer great rates for bridal parties, so take advantage while you can!

And it’ll be a great opportunity for you to go over the last minute duties for the Big Day, easing your stressful To-Do List!

Don’t forget to pack a bag full of creature comforts like your favorite cozy socks, a soothing night tea, and a rejuvenating face mask for the night before the main event to make sure you wake up in the morning rested, refreshed, and ready to say “I do!”
