Jamie Sea uses a quiz lead magnet to convert her social media audience into email subscribers. To date, 25,000 people have taken her Visibility Quiz and opted in to join her email list. These new subscribers are automatically segmented by the quiz, and added to her ActiveCampaign through Interact’s direct integration.
Strategy Behind the Quiz
When I interviewed Jamie for the Interact Podcast, she explained the strategy behind the quiz. Her audience wants to show up online, because that’s where the growth is at in our interest-based, social media-driven world, but people struggle with the confidence to do so. So she created a visibility archetype quiz, that helps you identify your unique way of showing up online, and gives you the confidence to show up consistently to break through the noise.

How the Quiz Provides an Accurate Result
The quiz asks 7 questions, and uses personality quiz logic to assign different answers to different results. The scoring system is the “Mostly A’s” “Mostly B’s” “Mostly C’s” type of scoring system. It’s dependably accurate because there are four archetypes and 7 questions, so there is low odds of a tie between two of the results.

How the Quiz Grows Jamie’s Email List
At the end of the quiz, once someone has answered all seven questions, which act as a warm-up to get to know the person, there is an email opt-in form that asks people if they’d like a full report of their results sent to their inbox. At this point, someone has answered 7 questions, and gotten the sense that Jamie really knows what’s going on in their world, so the conversion rate is incredibly high.

How the quiz gets discovered
Across multiple channels, one of the main ones is Instagram. Here’s an example carousel. It does not mention the quiz, it is a carousel about Jamie’s favorite marketing. The caption says take the marketing archetype quiz, and over 1,000 people commented to take the quiz, which is set up with a Manychat automation to DM people the quiz if they comment quiz. Jamie uses the quiz in conjunction with several other lead magnets on Instagram and other channels. Importantly, every post stands alone as valuable and useful, the lead magnets are just a follow-on if people want to dig deeper after reading/watching the post.

A huge thank you to Jamie for sharing her quiz results with us, and for creating such a useful and helpful quiz! If you are someone who wants to be showing up more online so your business can grow, check out Jamie’s Marketing Archetype Quiz, it really helps!
