By purchasing flowers from local farmers or growing them in your own garden, you won't have to worry about exploitative labor practices, harmful pesticides, and your bouquet will last longer! What's not to like, friend?
2. Use Variety
The days of single flower type bouquets are far behind us, and that's good news! Not only should you try to use a variety of blossoms, but also a variety of colours and heights — this is the easiest way to add visual interest. For a traditional bouquet, try placing the tallest flowers in the centre and the shortest flowers around the edge of the vase.
3. Baby Your Blossoms
Once you've assembled your bouquet, start babying those blossoms by filling their vase with lukewarm water and floral perservative. To prevent rotting, make sure that none of the leaves are below the waterline. On top of that try to keep your arrangement away from direct sunlight and heat, and don't forget to check water levels regularly!
