Your Money Healing Mode Is… Value

You're a courageous goal-crusher and you know how to get things done. You're a natural-born leader and you inspire those around you. Tapping into your sense of value will help you feel rich on all levels.

Here's an important question for you when it comes to money mindset:

Do you think that money only comes from hard work?

You see, my strong friend… you have a rock solid work ethic. You likely believe that you have to work hard for every penny you earn. To free up and heal your money relationship, it's important for you to investigate where that idea came from.

Remember that working hard doesn't make you more worthy. Because wealth isn't just about money. It's about having ample time, space, health, and friends to share it with. True wealth is happiness!

Your money healing mantra is...

"I do less to get more."

How to accomplish this? Look at what comes naturally to you, lights you up, and also provides a real value to others. Or think of the thing in your current work that makes you say, "I can't believe someone wants to pay me to do this." That activity might just be your golden-ticket opportunity to receive more while doing less.

Lastly, tap into your inherent sense of value. Remind yourself that you are worthy and valuable just because you exist. You are enough, and you will always have enough.

"Wealth is the ability to fully experience life." — Henry David Thoreau

Here Are the 3 Tools You Need to Free Yourself Up When it Comes to Money

1. Make Saving Fun

Create a savings account that's your "just for fun" account. Then choose a goal that you'd love to save toward. You may choose to start small, like a fancy dinner to celebrate a win. Or a day-trip you'd love to take with a friend. Set a money goal for that experience.

When money comes into your account, put a little aside for super-fun savings. This can even be $5.

Challenge yourself to keep adding to that savings regularly until you hit your goal.

Once you've filled your savings account up, treat yourself to the fantastically fun experience you planned without any guilt or reservations.

You saved up for this, now it's time to enjoy it, friend.

2. Go on a Spending Freeze

Go on a spending freeze for a week (or more!). During this time, don't purchase anything besides essentials.

What counts as essentials? Groceries, toiletries, transportation expenses.

Keep a journal for the duration of the spending freeze and track your habits around spending.

Here are some questions you can ask yourself:

Do certain events/experiences/conditions make you want to spend?

What feelings arise when you want to buy something?

What does this spending freeze reveal to you about your spending habits?

3. Practice Meditation

Whether it's five minutes a day or an hour-long guided meditation, choose a meditation style that works for you. To go deep with this practice, check out this blog post about how to meditate for financial freedom.

Meditation will help you to clear your mind so you make financial decisions from a place of discernment. Over time, you'll build up the reserves to release any restless thoughts and feelings you have about money.

Meet Your Money Coach...

Hey friend, I'm Kerri Styles, money coach and author of You Can Have it All: Your Guide to Living Richly.

Money wasn't always my friend. When I was in my twenties, I worked in the fashion industry. Chasing the latest trends, I thought that credit cards were cool and I built up a handsome debt faster than you can say "charge!"

A few years into my battle with pervasive debt, a friend handed me a copy of Barbara Stanney's Overcoming Underearning. I realized that my experience with money wasn't just about me. This kind of experience was something that many women go through.

I made it my mission to become a master of money. Through years of studying every approach to money I could uncover, I moved out of debt and into what I like to call "wealth consciousness."

It's now my privilege and honor to help (mostly) women work through their money issues.

My clients have had amazing successes from finally getting out of debt, to launching six and seven figure businesses.

My superpower is helping people who think they're stuck look their finances square in the eye. I help my clients make wise, centered decisions around money. Decisions that reflect their personal values.

Your Money Healing Mode Is… Joy

You're a natural-born influencer and you know how to have a great time. Tapping into your sense of joy will help you feel rich on all levels.

Here's an important question for you when it comes to money mindset:

Do you think it's impossible for you to get paid to be creative?

You see, my artistic friend...you have a deep creative voice. But you may be stuck on the idea that you can't make money as a creative. You may think you have to work (and work hard) for every penny. You may be afraid that work and fun don't mix.

To free up and heal your money relationship, it's important for you to investigate where these beliefs came from.

It's also important for you to remember that even if you have a job that doesn't fully express your passion… you can still be an artist.

Your money healing mantra is:

"I trust in joy to pave my path to financial freedom and success"

Want to do less to get more?...

Consider what comes naturally to you, lights you up, and also provides a real value to others. Or think of the part of your current work that makes you say, "I can't believe someone wants to pay me to do this." That activity might just be your golden-ticket opportunity to receive more while doing less.

Remind yourself that you are good enough, no matter what your job title, and no matter your current financial situation. You are enough, and you will always have enough.

Your Money Healing Mode Is… Compassion

You're a natural-born community-builder and you're the rock your friends lean on for support. Tapping into your sense of compassion will help you feel rich on all levels.

Here's an important question for you when it comes to money mindset:

What can you let go of from the past that will free up your money relationship?

You see, my soulful and caring friend… you're super compassionate towards everyone else. Now it's time for you to extend that compassion to yourself.

If you've made mistakes with money in the past, it's important for you to practice total forgiveness now. Lean into a meditation practice such a meta meditation, which can help you extend loving kindness to yourself.

To heal your money relationship, it's important for you to investigate where any lingering money wounds come from. So that you can let go of the past and move forward fearlessly.

It's also essential for you to remember that wealth isn't just about money. It's about having ample time, space, health, and friends to share it with. As a natural community-builder, you already have wealth of friendship in spades.

Your money healing mantra is:

"I hold my money story with deep compassion. I forgive. I let go. I can be free."

Lastly, tap into your inherent sense of optimism. Remind yourself that you are good enough, no matter what your job title, and no matter your current financial situation. You are enough, and you will always have enough.

Your Money Healing Mode is… Simplicity

You're a natural-born organizer, a great listener, and your smarts are seriously impressive. Tapping into your sense of simplicity will help you feel rich on all levels.

Here's an important question for you when it comes to money:

What does wealth actually mean to you?

You see, my wise and pragmatic friend… your idea of wealth might not look like anyone else's. You appreciate simplicity and deep down you know that less is actually more.

You can extend this sense of simplicity toward your work as well. You tend to work hard and over-deliver. Remember that wealth doesn't necessarily come from working hard for every penny. Plus your 50% might look like somebody else's 100%.

You can use your extraordinary organizational skills to grow your wealth. How? Create your own practice of mindfully managing your financial accounts. You can even imagine you're the Marie Kondo of money!

Through organizing your money and making sure your financial decisions align with your values, you can make more space for money to come into your world. Yes, this may feel like money magic.

Your money healing mantra is:

"I reset and recenter through simplicity. Peace and calmness are my true wealth. I receive that wealth now."

Lastly, tap into your inherent sense of wisdom. Remind yourself that you are good enough, no matter what your job title, and no matter your current financial situation. You are enough, and you will always have enough.
