Set 15 minutes aside to sift through your camera’s settings and see what it’s capable of and whether or not you can control its aperture, ISO, and shutter speed.

2. Take All the Pictures

Once you have a solid grasp of your camera and its strengths, weaknesses, and settings, it’s time for the fun part: get out there and take pictures… of everything!

And don’t put pressure on yourself — give yourself permission to make mistakes, knowing that even the blurriest of shots is helping you become the photographer you were meant to be.

3. Let’s Get Digital

Now that you’ve taken your fair share of photographs, you might be wondering what to do with them. This is where image editing softwares, like Lightroom and Photoshop, come in...

Using an image editing software, you can easily take your photographs from a 6 to a 10 by fine-tuning their colors, tones, and lighting. It will also help you keep your work organized and select your very best shots.
