Since 2013, Interact quizzes have helped our customers convert 100 million people from audience members to email subscribers, upping the value of those people by 10x or more. Today in 2026 I consistently hear over and over again that quizzes are the highest converting lead magnets that our customers use. I want to break down the reasons why they work so well for email list growth.
- Quizzes are fun. No other lead magnet is fun. Think about the other options on the table, guides, webinars, free email courses, templates, these are all practical, but they are not fun. Which flies in the face of the interest-based social media world we live in. People are not scrolling Instagram looking for practical most of the time, they are looking for fun. So when they come across a quiz that sounds fun, they are more likely to take it as compared to a lead magnet that is purely practical, at least some of the time.
- Quizzes give personalized help. People want assistance that is personal to who they are, and a quiz can provide that because it asks who you are in the questions before giving a recommendation in the results.
- Quizzes facilitate human connection. When you as the creator make a quiz, you put your heart and soul into it. The way you write the questions, the way you speak to people in the results, it all comes from you. People prefer this type of connection because it’s with another person directly, and it makes them feel connected to you.
- Quizzes answer questions for your audience. A good quiz answers a question your audience wants to know the answer to for themselves. The type of question they would DM you about, because they want to know the answer for THEM as an individual. You can automate the answer giving, and collect an email subscriber all in one. A great trade, you get an email subscriber, they get their answer.
- Quizzes ask your audience questions. They flip the script and make your audience the center of attention, people really like it when you ask them relevant questions about themselves, and they like answering questions about themselves.
