Probably the hardest part about exercising consistently is just showing up. If you can get yourself to the mat, to the gym, into workout clothes...you're going to feel a mini boost of pride in yourself. That boost can be enough to keep you going.

It can help to say to yourself that you're only going to work out for 5 minutes. You may want to do more than that when you're actually there. Committing to doing something small is way easier than committing to an hour-long sweat session.

Which brings us to the next tip...

2. Some is better than none

Lots of people don't exercise because they think if they can't do an hour five or six days a week, then it's not working out.

But in reality, 15 minutes is better than no minutes. So is 5. Let go of the need to do a perfectly long and complete workout. Instead, commit to consistency, even if it's just a little every day.

You may be amazed by how quickly the body can adapt with just a little bit of movement every day. The results can be incredible.
