Why Are You Still Single? - https://www.tryinteract.com/quiz/why-are-you-still-single/
There's nothing wrong with being single, unless of course, you don't want to be single. In that case, take this quiz to see why you might still be single.
It's great to know what you want but just make sure it's realistic.
Do you have a list of traits for your perfect partner? How long is it? If it's longer than 5 items you probably need to make a new one. Yes, 5 items is not that many but the longer your list the harder it is to find a perfect partner.
Rethink your list and what you want in a partner. Think about what really matters and what is really important to you. Focus on things like values, friendship and shared interest verses appearance and job. Place value on things that are long lasting and make the person, not things that can fade with time or disappear tomorrow.
The person you end up with might not look the way you expect or have all the qualities you want, but remember, you aren't looking for perfection, you are looking for a partner.
When's the last time you went out and met someone new? How often to do you go places that allow you the chance to socialize and meet new people? Maybe it's time you start!
It's okay to be shy, in fact it's attractive to many people. But if you're too shy you are just doing yourself a disservice. If you just go to work and then go home, the chances of finding love are slim.
Even when it comes to online dating you have to put yourself out there a little. Send a few first messages and reply to someone you wouldn't normally. Be consistent in your messages and don't be afraid to ask questions. Push yourself a little out of your comfort zone and you might end up somewhere you really enjoy.
There is a time for everything and right now is not the right time for you to be in a relationship. Maybe you just got out of one or maybe you just don't want one, but right now at this point in your life, your just not ready for one and you are happy about it.
Maybe you need some time to heal from a tragedy or a breakup. Maybe you're young and just have lots more life to experience? There is nothing wrong with being single.
In fact, there are plenty of good reasons to be and stay single. There are a lot of things are more fun if you're single. You don't have to consider someone else in your decisions or big life choices and you can do what you want when you want. There is a freedom in being single and even more freedom if you're single and happy.
You are ready for a relationship and everyone can tell. Maybe you're putting a little too much pressure on yourself and it's rubbing off on the person your trying to date?
Do you ask questions like "Where do you see yourself in 5 years" and "Do you want to get married?" on first dates? That can tend to freak people out a bit even if they are actually looking for love.
Dating should be fun and enjoyable, not full of pressure and expectations. It's too hard to really get to know someone when you are trying to see if they fit a list of things you want in a partner verses if you actually get along and enjoy each others company.
Stop trying so hard and don't rush into things too fast or put too much expectations on a new relationship. Sometimes you just need to slow down a bit and enjoy the ride.
If you are content with eating at restaurants alone, going to movies by yourself and spending Friday nights cuddled up with your dog, then you might be a bit too comfortable with being single. You're embracing the single life and that's great, but if you want to be in a relationship, sometimes there are certain things you should do make some effort.
If you've been single for a while it's easy to become very independent and comfortable in your singleness. You don't need a partner and that's great, no one wants to be in a relationship with someone who is needy; but it's also kinda nice to be needed sometimes.
It's great to be independent and comfortable with who you are but if you want a relationship you might have to give some of that freedom and independence up to make a life that includes the person you love. It has to work for both of you, that's what compromise is about and if you're with the right person then there will be good for both of you.
