The goal of this post is to help you choose the right quiz software from the start, so you can invest in the one that will work for you, and not waste precious time. My name is Josh Haynam, I’m the co-founder of Interact Quiz Software. We launched in 2013, before any other software on this list (with the exception of Typeform, which launched around the same time as we did). So I’ve seen all of these companies start and differentiate over time.
I will try to give you the lay of the land, and point out what is unique and different about each option, so you can choose the one that works right for you, and get the best results without wasting any time.
Before we begin I have to say that after 12 years in this industry I have great respect for every company listed here. The common goal of every business on this list is to help businesses generate more leads and grow.
1. Interact

Interact quiz software is purpose built for lead generation. When we launched in 2013, we launched as a quiz software for lead generation, and we still do the exact same thing today, 12 years later. Everything we do is in the name of increasing the conversion rate of the quizzes built on our platform, and we are proud to boast a lifetime conversion rate of 40.1% across 1 Billion Quiz Views and 100 Million Leads Generated on our Platform.
Best For
- Creators and Authors: Advice With Erin, Salary Transparent Street, Jenna Kutcher, and Gretchen Rubin all use Interact quizzes for lead generation and segmentation.
- E-Commerce: Henry’s House of Coffee, Pusheen, Common Era, and Soulku all use Interact quizzes for product recommendation and lead generation.
- Content Marketers: Direct Energy, Atlassian, Natural History Museum, and The American Red Cross all use Interact to create interactive content.
Awards
Winner of Content Marketing Institute Award for Best Content Strategy in 2025 – Interact Customer Direct Energy won the award for the best content strategy of 2025 for their quiz hub. They have 10 quizzes built on Interact, and Vilasini Pillay, who created their quiz strategy, shared that their quizzes have some of the highest engagement rates of any form of content they’ve created.

Founding Story
Founded 2013: My co-founders and I started Interact in 2013 after building a bunch of websites for clients and realizing that collecting leads was really hard. Most sites we built converted at 1% even with great design. But when we added a quiz the conversion rate jumped to 40%. So we built a software where anyone could make a lead generation quiz. Since then, over 1 billion people have seen an Interact quiz and over 100 million leads have been generated with Interact quizzes.

Top Benefits
Direct Integrations with Email Software: Interact has direct integrations with 26 Email Marketing Softwares including Kit, Flodesk, ActiveCampaign, Klaviyo, Mailchimp HubSpot, and more. See them all here. Interact is also connected to Zapier for 1,000+ other integrations.
- Segmentation is Included on every paid plan: While other lead generation quiz software have lead generation, they will often up-charge in order to segment leads. With interact, segmentation based on which result someone gets on your quiz and based on how they answer any particular question, is included on all plans, starting at $27/month if you choose our Lite Annual Plan.

Less Expensive for Lead Generation: Interact pricing is set up to not punish you when you are successful in generating leads. I recently spoke to Erin McGoff, Interact customer and founder of Advice With Erin about this. She was quoted at $10k+ per year once she exceeded 10,000 leads collected on her quiz with JotForm. With Interact, our lowest plan is $27 per month on the annual option and you can collect up to 6,000 leads. Our highest plan you can collect up to 96,000 leads per year and it’s $125 per month. So we do not penalize for success.
Even though a lot of other softwares on this list offer a free plan, they limit those free plans so severely that they are useless for collecting leads. At Interact we have chosen to dedicate ourselves to making lead generation quiz software that works, and not charging super high amounts once you are successful. So while our entry pricing starts at $27 per month paid annually or $39 per month paid monthly, you know that if you are successful with the product, it will not end up costing you a ton of money.
Simple Quiz Logic Setup: Interact is a dedicated lead generation quiz software, not a form software that has been repurposed for quizzes. This means that setting up the logic for your quiz within Interact is very simple and easy. Customers say this saves them time and makes it easier to set up multiple quizzes.

Powerful Branching Logic: Within Interact you can set up branching logic, which means that you can show different questions to people based on how they answer previous questions. You can also exactly specify which result someone will get based on their exact set of answers throughout your quiz. This allows for many use cases to be satisfied using a quiz.

Proprietary AI Conversion Optimization: Interact quizzes have a lifetime conversion rate of 40.1%, meaning that 4 out of 10 people who have ever completed an Interact quiz have opted in to become leads. That’s over 100 million leads generated. Our proprietary AI tools will help you set up your quiz to achieve the same results. Interact offers both free tools for anyone to use and AI tools within the product itself for paid customers.

Embeds Nicely in Squarespace, WordPress, Shopify, Showit, and more
Interact quizzes embed really nicely into every major website platform. They also integrate nicely with Manychat for Instagram automation. You can embed our quizzes using a Javascript or Iframe embed, ensuring that your quiz takers have a great experience on every device.
Here’s an example of a quiz embedded into the Common Era Jewelry Website which is built on Shopify. It looks so nice!

Helpful, Human Support. Based in the United States.
At Interact, two of our nine full time, U.S. Based employees only do customer support and onboarding. We conduct over 150 calls with customers every single month and answer over 800 inquiries, which range from technical support to strategic advice on the best quiz strategies.
What we have found over the years of working with brands on lead generation quizzes, is that sometimes it’s the smallest changes to a quiz that makes the biggest difference. We always do our best to look at every quiz built on our platform and make sure it is set up for success. We want you to be successful, and we have no contracts, which means you can cancel whenever you want. We work to make sure you are always successful with your quizzes.

Main Drawbacks
- Lack of design customization: You can change the colors, and add your own logo, to an Interact quiz. You can also turn off the cover page we have built in and create your own cover page. You can also redirect to your own results pages so you have full control over the experience from start to finish. But, within our platform, I will be the first to admit that the design customization isn’t the greatest. We have always focused on the highest possible conversion rate across all of our customers. And that has been achieve, but if you want to make a quiz that looks totally unique, we don’t have the most customizable system.
- This is something in development, and we are adding more to the design customization of Interact, check back for more updates.
For reference, here’s the built in Interact design. It’s not bad, if you use images well it can look quite nice. But if you want something truly custom then you can design your own cover page like the next screenshot.

And here’s a custom quiz cover page from Interact customer Jenna Kutcher, who has generated over 100,000 leads with her quizzes. It looks super unique, and when you click the take quiz button here it takes you straight into the first question of the quiz.

No multiple category functionality: Meaning that if you want to score people based on multiple axis’ that’s not something we can offer. You can use our branching logic system in a lot of cases to achieve the same result, but that can take some effort. We are building a multiple category quiz type soon and will update this post as soon as it’s ready!
2. Typeform

Honestly, I really like Typeform, and recommend it to people all the time when it’s the right fit. The main reason why people don’t use Typeform is because they don’t have direct integrations with many of the email marketing and marketing automation softwares, and because they are not a dedicated quiz builder. They are a form builder that people use to make quizzes, so it can be complicated to create a quiz in Typeform. The main reason I send people to Typeform is when they want to create a really advanced variable type quiz, meaning that you turn answer choices into variables that let you use the quiz as a calculator, that functionality is very cool.
Pricing
Free: 10 Completions a month. If I had a complaint about Typeform it would be this. It’s not 10 leads a month, it’s ten completions. It feels like a bait and switch, showing people that it’s “Free” and then limiting it so severely that you can’t really use it. If your quiz is at all successful, you will quickly surpass 10 completions in a month, and then be paying. If you signed up for free to try and save money, it will not actually be free if your quiz is successful.
Basic: 100 Responses per Month*. For $25 per month paid annually or $29 per month paid monthly.
*Note that Typeform charges based on responses, even if you do not collect a lead. Interact charges based on leads collected. So at 100 responses per month, assuming a 40% conversion rate, you can collect 40 leads per month on the basic plan for $25 per month. Compared to Interact’s Lite Plan which is $29 per month and you can collect 500 leads per month. So with Interact you can collect roughly 12x the leads for an extra $4 per month if you are paying annually for both softwares. Also, Interact offers a 14-day free trial where you can collect leads. So you can see if it actually works before you start paying. Okay, end of rant. It’s just that Interact gets a lot of flack for not having a “Free Plan” when the alternative Free Plans have such low limits or so many features turned off, that you’re better off using the Interact 14-day trial where you can actually use all the features, and if it doesn’t get you the results you want in 14 days, you can cancel without ever paying anything.
Plus: 1,000 Responses per Month. For $50 per month paid annually or $59 per month paid monthly. This plan is white labeled and includes custom subdomains.
Pro: 10,000 Responses per month. This plan includes drop-off rates and conversion tracking.
Top Benefits
- Clean, highly rated design: People really like how Typeform quizzes and forms looks. They started out by offering a unique style of forms, and that’s what started them off in the market. The quizzes built on Typeform do look very nice.
- This benefit can also be a drawback, because everyone knows your quiz is a Typeform when you use Typeform. With Interact, you can make your quiz look very close to the rest of your website, so people won’t know it’s from another source. So the benefit of the unique design can also be a drawback.
- Also a Form Builder: A benefit of using Typeform is that you can also use it for forms. So even though it can take a long time to build quizzes in Typeform because it’s not built directly for that and setting up quizzes takes time, they do also let you run your forms through them so it can be a two in one solution.
Main Drawbacks
- Missing direct Integrations: Typeform does not integrate directly with Kit, Flodesk, Aweber, Constant Contact, GoHighLevel, MailerLite, Karta, Simplero, Keap, GetResponse, Beehiiv, or Campaign Monitor. Interact integrates directly with all of those. With Typeform you have to go through Zapier and pay an additional subscription fee, to connect and segment with any of those platforms.
- Complicated to Set Up Quizzes: Customers tell us that setting up personality quizzes and branching logic quizzes within Typeform can be complicated because it is built to be a form software that people use to make quizzes. This is what I hear back.
3. Digioh

I cannot say enough good things about Digioh. We send people to them all the time when they want custom quiz setups. The only drawback is the price, starting at $499/month it’s a lot more expensive than Interact at $27 per month. But when people have 1000’s of E-Commerce products, or want a completely custom quiz, I send them to Rishi over at Digioh. Rishi is the founder, and always super attentive to customers, as is the rest of the team over there.
Pricing
$499/month: Custom lead limits. Digioh costs a lot, but can be as custom as you need it to be. Every time we get a customer who wants a complex quiz build, we send them to Digioh and they are happy. I will tell you from my 12 years of data, if you are doing something complicated, and none of the out of the box softwares will do what you want, go to Digioh instead of building it yourself. You will save time and money because even though the initial build might be easy enough with doing it yourself, the edits and changes will all cost you money. Every time I have seen someone try to build a custom quiz solution, they deprecate it after a few years because it gets too expensive and too difficult to maintain.
4. Involve.me

This one popped up in 2019 and their approach is to offer a lot of things under one roof. We don’t hear about it much when it comes to lead generation quizzes specifically, but usually when it comes up it’s because someone wants a complicated quiz build.
Pricing
Free: 50 completions per month, No Integrations, No Data Exports. Again, these free plans are useless. You can collect leads but you can’t export them and you can’t integrate them with your email marketing software. What are you going to do? Log in and copy and paste the leads?
When we work with actual customers, the automation of leads into their email marketing and marketing automation software, directly, without Zapier, is always the most important thing when it comes to lead generation quizzes. I’m tired of companies using “Free” to get people hooked, and then charging really high prices to actually integrate with email software. It’s frustrating.
Basic: Submissions Limited, Not Specified on Website. $29 per month paid annually or $49 per month paid monthly.
A couple of things are bothersome about this pricing. First, they don’t specify submission limits, but there are limits. Does that mean that if your quiz does really well they hit you with a bill? Who knows, it doesn’t say. Second, their price difference between monthly and annual is over 40%. That means if you pay annual you get 5 months free, and working backwards that means monthly customers only need to stay for 7 months to pay for an annual customer.
Pro: Submissions Limited, Not Specified on Website. $59 per month paid annually or $99 per month paid monthly.
Business: Submissions Limited, Not Specificed on Website. Offers more complex quiz types and data structures.
5. ScoreApp

This one started in 2019 as well. It’s very cool if you want to make a specific type of quiz that has scores for different areas. Like if you want one quiz that scores you on four different areas, this is the solution. What our customers tell us is that the software is more complicated to use than Interact, so if you aren’t looking to make something as complicated, you are better off using Interact. But, for the specific solution of scoring in different areas, we send people over to ScoreApp.
6. Octane AI

This one was founded in 2016 and came on the scene to create product recommendation quizzes specifically. They do have some cool features and question types, but the pricing is super high for what it is. It starts at $50 a month for only 200 quiz takers, not even leads, and by the time you get up to 1,500 quiz takers a month it is $200 a month. This is just too high for most people, they compete in the same space as Digioh, although from what I’ve heard it is less flexible, so I would recommend Digioh if you are considering something in this price point.
7. Outgrow

Similar to how Digioh is good for custom quiz builds, Outgrow is good for custom logic and scoring systems. They offer a wide variety of solutions for making a very complex and in-depth logic system. However, if you are looking to run standard lead generation quizzes, it can be very complicated, and that’s the main frustration we hear from our customers about Outgrow when they come to us after first trying Outgrow.
8. Jotform

Jotform is great is you want to run quizzes and forms on the same platform. They also have a lot of Enterprise Ready features. The drawback is that if you want to set up quizzes simply, this would not be your best option. It can be complex and time consuming to create quizzes on Jotform since it’s not a dedicated quiz software but rather a form software that you can build quizzes on.
